Mulligans

General Mulligans

The Animated Armor and Duplicate combo should be your #1 priority. Thereafter, look to keep your health up and keep building your hand.

A very consistent deck without involving much RNG. Easy to beat both bosses as long as you follow the main rules:

Rule #1: As long as the total ATTACK on your board plus Hero Power is less than Nazra’s health total, she will NOT attack your minions. This is true 90% of the time, based on my experience. Keep it that way until you’ve build up your mana and hand.

Rule #2: Always have an active Counterspell before you defeat Nazra (to counter Prince Malchezaar’s Twisting Nether or Shadow Bolt Volley).

Rule #3: Always have an Animated Armor on the board and another copy in your hand (from Duplicate, Echo of Medivh or your second copy).

Rule #4: Make sure you have sufficient health to survive multiple -1 health hits (including potential spells and weapon attacks from Nazra).

Animated Armor is your MAIN mulligan priority. Everything else is secondary.

Secrets: Keep Counterspell for when you defeat Nazra. Hopefully your Mad Scientists do not waste both. Play safe and duplicate only high priority targets (e.g. Animated Armor, Illuminator & Antique Healbot).

Water Elementals are excellent for face-freeze and are usually the priority target for Nazra to remove. Remember not to bring her HP down too low, too early. You’d want to use both Cabalist’s Tomes (before Nazra dies) to get you good spells for Prince Malchezaar. Be careful not to over-draw. Slowly chip away Nazra’s health but keep in mind Rule #1. Feel free to sacrifice your Mad Scientist if you need to. Use Frost Nova only when ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY (to save you from dying).

When you’re ready, put up Counterspell and take down Nazra. Rule #1 applies to Prince Malchezaar as well. Get more minions on the board and keep going face. Trade only when necessary. Note that he has quite a number of removal spells. Just play around them and always have backup minions in your hand.

Please feel free to ask me any questions. Good luck!

Great deck. Did it on the first try. Substituted 2x Echo of Medivh with 2x Primordial Glyphs (which I didn’t even draw) and 1x Cabalist’s tome with 1x Blizzard (which saved me). Very slick deck.

Finally! Took a few hours, since I was missing Ice Blocks, Mad Scientists, Echo of Medivhs and Tomes (and this was after I spent all my gold/dust getting the other stuff), but I finally got it! Thanks for the framework, this was driving me bonkers.

first at all, thanks for that deck !

    i made some changes

    -1x Echo of Medivh
    -2x Cabalist’s Tome

+1x Antonidas (2x FIREBALL for Medivhs tab)
+2x Blizzard (if not available -> Flamestrike)

Medivh will Focus Antonidas so try to protect him with dublicate or the 2nd counterspell
Play the Arcane Giant in last turn against Nazra
with 1 Golem and 1 Antonidas you have 14dmg each turn, so it takes 3 turns to beat Medivh
    (2 fireballs last turn)

took me 7 tries with this deck

Hello! Thanks for trying out the deck! Am very glad it worked out for you! I think I got very good consistency with this deck – tested it around 7-8 times and won 6-7 times. But yeah, as long as you manage to beat him, and some extra creativity from your end always make it even more satisfying! πŸ™‚

Well done with the extra effort! Super satisfying especially when you don’t have so many of the recommended cards!
