A few specifics to keep:

Shadow Word: Pain/Death - Shaman, for Totem Golem, Flamewreath Faceless

Circle of Healing + Health to Damage Effect - Suspected Flood decks, ie. Shaman, Zoo, Tempo Warrior (?)

A Lil’ Intro

Thought I’d share an interesting concoction of mine. It takes your more-or-less standard N’Zoth Priest but with a few interesting inclusions and exclusions.

Note: Mulligans aren’t perfect at this time. 🙁

Exclusions:

Wild Pyromancer – The only common deck which spams tokens is Zoo and even then Zoo isn’t too common. Against N’Zoth Paladin you can Thoughtsteal their’s to deal with the doods.

Northshire Cleric – This deck doesn’t run any particularly high health minions in the early game to benefit off of the draw and is incredibly weak by itself.

Cairne Bloodhoof – Cut due to card constraints and can be slow at times. Museum Curator does a good job at finding him occasionally, but multiple Sylvanas Windrunner and Shifting Shade are usuably preferable.

Forbidden Shaping – Whilst pulling Tirion Fordring is possibly the best outcome that can happen for this deck, it’s inconsistent and pure stat minions aren’t usually all that useful. Certainly worth the consideration though.

Inclusions:

Prophet Velen – Used primarily for burst healing along with Flash Heal . I love the card and find he’s relatively effective in Miracle Rogue and aggressive match-ups.

Embrace the Shadow – Unbelievably useful as a third Health to Damage effect which can be lacking after both Auchenai Soulpriest are used up. Having Circle of Healing but no Auchenai Soulpriest is Priest’s age-old frustration.

Excavated Evil – Whilst a liability over Holy Nova in control match-ups through extending their deck, this deck doesn’t run Northshire Cleric to benefit from the heal effect. Playing it vs aggresive decks and then using Thoughtsteal to occasionally get a third copy can be quite amusing, as well as adding a bad draw for your opponent.

Elise Starseeker – Your primary win condition in control match-ups. She allows you to turn all of the useless, situational cards left over into big ol’ legendaries. N'Zoth, The Corruptor can usually be a win condition on his own, but Elise Starseeker ensures those long awaited victories.

Edit 1:

Way too much card draw resulting in burnt cards too often, -2 Power Word: Shield , -1 Acolyte of Pain . +1 Doomsayer and +1 Shadow Word: Death for additional early game and removal. +1 Emperor Thaurissan for flexibility and the ability for large burst damage, tempted to add a Mind Blast or two for more damage but would lessen consistency.

Well, there’s my take on N’Zoth Priest. Thank you for reading! 😀
