Mulligans

General Mulligans

Mulliganing is easy because you are never proactive only reactive so you just want your cheap early removal, and bloodweaver is the one early minion that we have because it has high toughness. Also Acolyte isn't bad to have early. As you draft more cards for your deck, prioritze more cheap removal spells like these to add to cards you want to mulligan for.

I just remembered a card I haven't got yet that I would consider adding to this deck is the 3 mana spell that discovers a spell and cheapens spells in hand, I drafted it and it worked out well for this deck, not sure what I would cut for it though. Honestly Mind Control is always good but I didn't really need it much for this deck to win.

Hello, I started playing Duels this week and really enjoy it, I finally got a 12 win run and wanted to post the decklist here. I went 11-0 with discard Warlock the night before then had 3 losses in a row, and I got 11 wins with Demon Hunter earlier today.

Anyways, on to the deck! This deck is just about survival and inevitability. The one card that underperformed for me was G’Huun, so if you don’t have that legend you don’t need it. Occasionally it did help make some big plays, but with the hero power and reactive nature of the deck you tend to have a lot of cards in hand anyways so it often just sits in your hand, it is strong though. I would replace it with a copy of the 1 mana spell that sets enemys attack to 1 for a turn, I forgot how well that interacts with Cabal Acolyte.

C’Thun is great because he makes it so you look forward to drawing out your deck rather than fearing it running out, however in 13 games I only cast C’Thun once. But to be fair, some of the times people conceded may have been because they knew he was on the way. However the 4 cards he adds are good and help you with control, so I don’t know if he’s essential but I like him a lot. Same with Yogg, to be honest I play for fun a lot and just wanted to cast those two Old Gods for fun, I didn’t expect 12 wins but they ended up being pretty strong. Make of that what you will. So despite not really needing C’Thun to win, it is a good card to include because it means your whole deck can be focused on just surviving and not needing win cons. So when you draft cards you can prioritize removal. I also try to prioritize cheap spells because your hand can so often be close to capacity, and i avoid small minions in duels if I am not aggro because they can be a liability.

One treasure made a huge difference for me with this deck, as well as my 11 win run with DH, and I’m thinking this treasure is a big deal and other regular duels players probably recognize this as well…the treasure that doubles the first spell you cast. If you haven’t played with it yet it really is strong, maybe the best treasure. For instance using it with your signature treasure to get 4 copies of a minion is huge, or something simple like doubling the Body of C’Thun spell.

Kel’Thuzad is a legend, but I think he is worth it as a very strong neutral that can go in many decks since all he needs is cheap removal to synergize with to make big plays.

Well I hope some people read this and enjoy and learn something, I think Duels is really fun and I’m learning new tricks every time I play. Hopefully I can get a flawless 12-0 win soon and share that decklist!
