You’d probably swap out Archmage, but I wouldn’t do it.

I don’t think so, too slow for this style of Mage.

How come many high ranked mage players only use 1 Polymorph and 1 Flamestrike? I’m seeing many of my games where I wish I had more. Especially against Warlock and Shamans.

The spell slots in this deck is extremely tight. If you were to add +1 polymorph and +1 flamestrike you would lose consistency. In order to fit those 2 in you would have to cut key cards as well as increase the curve of the deck and trust me it aint worth it. Im currently playing this deck and the only thing different with my list is that I cut mirror image and 1 azure drake for 2 forbidden flame. Every matchup wont be good but this deck can pretty much match well with most classes.

I’m just guessing this deck doesn’t do too well against Zoo and Shaman. Pretty much any fast decks.

What can I put to the deck instead Flamewaker. I know it is very good (main) card but maybe you have some suggestions. Thx.

I don’t have flamewakers myself yet but we still have good options in the 3 slot. I’ve been using spellslinger in my 3 mana slot and its been pretty good for me so far. Twilight flamecaller, acolyte of pain, and disciple of C’Thune are all solid as well. Hope that helps.

Can I replace rag with yogg saron?

I don’t understand why people don’t play C’Thun in tempo Mage. I understand 10 mana is expensive but with the two cult sorcerers and so many cheap spells it’s easy getting C’Thun to a 12/12. Keeping the sorcerers til the mid-late game and you stand a chance of catching your opponent completely off guard.

Dropping Rag for 8 and getting a pin in will still cost 10 mana. Try it! We’ll call it Ninja C’Thun Mage.

I tried playing C’thun tempo mage. Its just not fast enough compared to a traditional tempo mage. If you’re running C’thun without any C’thun buff cards other than the sorcerers, you will barely get to 10/10. If you run C’thun minions like Disciple, you won’t have slots for many spells and therefore won’t add Flamewaker, which makes the deck very slow compared to a traditional tempo mage.

-Rag, +Conjurer. Does this seem good?

I wouldn’t suggest conjurer dies to a 2-3 drop you just want his battlecry, but with so many removals and the fire power of ragnaros you can hit his face for 8 maybe for two turns ( 16 DMG is half his life )
