Dr. Boom, and the deck should be good still, it’s just not top tier.

I’m not 100% sure why but when i play Museum Curator in 4 out of 5 plays i can choose Chillmaw so no need for me to craft this card 🙂

Maybe just go Piloted Shredder for it. You could also do Loatheb/Sylvanas combo.

If I’m on a budget and have approximately 1000 dust, which set of cards would be best to get before getting the epics? Or should I save up for Chillmaw and Ysera?

I wouldn’t craft Chillmaw if I was on a budget. Ysera is worth the craft because she fits in other decks. The problem with the epics is that they’re all pretty important to this deck. I think you can get away with one Cabal Shadow Priest, but not having the Twilight Guardians would make this deck more inconsistent than it already can be. Lightbomb is also a pretty important card in this deck. I’d love to hear someone else’s thoughts on the order of importance, I’m just not sure.

If I were to rate the epics out of ten in terms of importance, I would give Twilight Guardian an 8.5/10, Cabal Shadow Priest a solid 8/10 but Lightbomb around a possible 8.5-9/10. They are all very important for this deck. I agree that Ysera is better to craft especially since it can be utilised in other decks however Chillmaw is quite good and useful to have.

As for just one Cabal Shadow Priest, then this is possible without a doubt, however having two is simply the safer option as sometimes you just need to play it as a 6: 4/5 and thus having a second could be vital due to the combination with Shrinkmeister.

        Just my thoughts…

I’d agree with that. The Twilight Guardians are a core part of Dragon Priest, but Lightbomb and Cabal Shadow Priest are a core part of Priest decks in general at this moment. Working with a budget myself, I crafted two Lightbombs and one Shadow Priest first (I’d suggest going for one of each at the very start), and just played combo/control Priest until I could get enough dust to shift over to the Dragon deck.
The Dragon deck relies not on the individual power of the dragon cards, but the synergy between them all, so trying to make it work without having as many of them as possible is not nearly as effective. If you have the whole of BRM already you can just use Nefarian and Chromaggus to replace the Ysera and Chillmaw (Chillmaw is kinda optional for some lists already), but I wouldn’t try to play it without Wyrmrest Agents and Twilight Guardians, so just playing a more standard control Priest to start off will work a lot better!

Could I replace Chillmaw with Dr. Boom?

I think it could work, you just might be low on Dragons.

You could try that, and if you need more dragon synergy go for Nefarian or Chromaggus.

However, most of the time I face dragon priest I usually either beat them before turn 7 or lose to a Chillmaw taunt + potential board clear.

what about Deathwing as a board clear regardless of its high mana cost.

Maybe, but you would lose your whole hand and you can’t play it till turn 10. Has lots of down sides.
