Whispers of the Old Gods Ben Brode and Frodan Stream Liveblog!

It’s time to get a look at how the Whispers of the Old Gods cards are going to play in real time! Ben Brode and Frodan will be hosting a livestream where they play through some decks that contain the soon to be released cards from the Whispers of the Old Gods expansion. We might even get a look at how some of the nerfed cards will play once the Standard format hits on April 26th. If you’re stuck at work or unable to watch the stream we’ve got you covered! I’ll be posting every new card that is revealed right here on this post, so be ready to hit the F5 key once the stream begins! If you are able to watch and wondering where to go, the stream will be hosted on Hearthstone’s Official Twitch Channel.

The stream starts at 10AM PDT. The stream is now over, but if you missed out on the fun check out the video below!

  • All the cards were released, check them out here: Whispers of the Old Gods Card List
  • It was announced that you will be given a quest to win 2 games in the Standard format, and you’ll get 5 Whispers of the Old Gods packs.
  • Once you finish that quest, you’ll receive a quest to win 7 games and you’ll receive another 5 Whispers of the Old Gods packs.
  • Your current rank when Formats go live will be the same in both Standard and Wild.

C’thun is very solid with a deck built around him. Yogg-Saron is utter chaos and almost unplayable.

Like we expected yogg most ly Hits your own stuff than doing a good job for 10 mana but hey you still take the risk of Ancestral *facepalm*

    1) So Blizz really wants Death Rattle hunter back (lest we forget the craziness of that deck when Naxx first came out)

    2) C’thun Druid will be a thing. Emperor V can get innervated out Turn 5 and it won’t be hard for C’thun Druid to get 10 attack quickly thanks to ramp effects. Also love that Forbidden Ancient.

    3) Wow Priest and Rogue cards!

Well, if you pay 9 mana for something you usually want to have it win you the game. Or at least help you. It’s only immediate effect is a 4/4 body attached to an assassinate. However, it makes the minion you assassinate important, because otherwise you don’t get any bang for your mana.

I see that you don´t see the stream and you didn´t see the changes now, is a new meta dude, and goodbye almost all aggro decks, blade of c´thun it´s an assassinate with a minion so you don´t lose almost nothing and c´thun turns so big like the duel that they show in the stream, of course it´s not going to go ok in all cases but a good card is…

I didn’t say it was a bad card, but its not OP as hills said. Its a very expensive BGH with the effect of buffing a card. It can be strong for sure, but it would suck to have to use this on a 3/3 or something of similar value.

You will all be dead to fire bat + kill command or double power overwhelming long before then. Blizzard is misdirecting what the meta will actually look like to hype the new cards. zoo, freeze Mage and face Hunter are all more powerful then the new stuff.
