Tavern Brawls should not include custom decks in my opinion. It should be something like a place where I can go and have fun with pre-made decks, after playing some games in standard mode.
And 150 golds for the entrance?
When I was an Erasmus student in Czech Republic, we had this club we used to hang during Wednesday nights. It was super fun. But then the club decided to make “special” events for wednesday nights once a month; where you must pay like CZK 50 to enter. Our group decided to move to another place during these special events. After4-5 months, the club stopped taking money for the events.
So, long story short, Blizzard should stop taking gold as entrance fee for the tavern. Or nevermind, they won’t care anyway.

I just noticed that when I play with this card’s deck in standard, my random opponent is ALWAYS someone who plays with this card’s deck. so it’s Whizbang Deck vs Whizbang deck with different hero types all the time. did anyone noticed that?
I don’t like it this way. It’s like Blizzard putting these Whizbang players in a sandbox and say “go play there kids, away from other players “..

i think that’s on purpose; they just don’t want to include powerful decks, but fun to play with.

same here. got a quest for 50 golds, not a pack.

I’ve built a deck around this card for fun; which includes about 12-13 1 drop cards (minions+spells). Added some taunt and card-drawing minions+spells for the remaining slots.
Winning condition totally depends on if you draw Liam in early game AND if your random legendary minions are useful or not.
I actually enjoy playing with the Liam Deck. Overall, had 50% win-rate after 12 games. Not suitable for ranked plays though.

it was the best tavern mode i’ve played so far. normally, i only play 2-3 games per week just to get the free pack. but this time, I’ve played over 40 times during the weekend; just because it was so entertaining. hope to see it again!

oh, the moment when Cora played Improve Morale on Acolyte of Pain, but literally NOTHING happened, no lackeys were around.. they were like “it’s still in beta testing, lol” haha, funny it was.

I’ve never bought solo content. I started to play the game when Karazhan was about to finish, so didn’t bother to buy Karazhan’s solo stuff, because I wouldn’t be able to play in standart with the cards I get from there; wish I could though, really liked the characters and the storyline.

I was thinkin about to get 28 packs for 2800G, but I feel like this expansion’s story will be really good. And the fact that it’ll take a year to finish the story, I think it’s best option to get the solo content to keep up with 2 upcoming expansions. So I’m buying it with the golds I saved. About 3000 so far, but worth it. I am no good in The Arena anyway 😀

So to sum up, in my opinion, players who considering to buy packs with gold should reconsider buying the solo content.
“Why not both?” also an option as well, but since currency is f’d up in Turkey, it is not a good option for me now.
