You can use a 2nd Violet Teacher if you don’t have Illidan 😉

General strategy:

Spam low-mana pirates in the early and mid-game trying to establish board superiority. Try to combo Luckydo on turn 6 to get a 9/9 carrying you to turn 9 (hopefully). Drop your Blade(s) and then C’Thun on turn 10.

Actually…if you have Greenskin, lose one of the Nagas and use Greenskin instead.

Dropping both Southsea Captains in one turn is pretty sweet by the way if you built up a bit of a board presence.

Against divine shield minions it does 😉

Other legendaries you could consider: Chromaggus, Chillmaw, Ragnaros…all of which have more damage than Xaril. Having said that, getting another Shadowstep from Xaril is kinda handy for this deck and it’ll make you a bit stronger in the early game.

Should be ok, you have enough other win conditions 😉

Heh, thanks to your post I am now seriously considering dropping Peddler for Sunwalker 😀

I mostly use Hogger as a delaying tactic. It soaks up 6 damage and kinda forces people to go for it or else face another 2/2 the next round. So Sunwalker’s a pretty good replacement.

Harrison isn’t bad, but no deathrattle. I like Anub’arak because sometimes I can spam him 2-3 times and then drop N’Zoth. What I like about him is that even if they clear him, I still got board presence after that due the minion he drops upon death. Kinda similar to Cairne. Personally, I’d rather have Chillmaw, Ragnaros or Chromaggus. Maybe Wobbling Runts? But you lose damage and your opponent will be less pressured to go after it than an 8/4 Anub’arak.

Forgot to mention, if you don’t think you can finish the deck off before turn 10, don’t lose board control and don’t bother smashing face.

Keep on running into it more and it’s annoying. Still trying to figure out how to best play against it.

Right now I mostly hope he doesn’t draw Reno, no “copy cards” and no taunts early so I can target face and if possible.

If I play it the worst of a shitty starting hand with 5+ mana cards other than Reno. Thing is, the deck is quite flexible which makes it a bit annoying to play against.

Love playing that deck because it’s fun, but hate playing against it. 😀

The only thing I don’t like that much is the lack of good deathrattle cards. N’Zoth won’t really pull in that many cards.

Not horrible, but losing the 1 mana copy ability of Shadowcaster seems like a bad trade…you lose the ability to have 1 mana Renos and N’Zoths 😉

Like it, quite similar to my pirate deck. Not sure about Blackwater Pirate though, the damage stats seems pretty abysmal to me.

Any card draw issues? That’s the issue I had with my pirate deck until I fixed it…

Hah, nothing better than being down to like 10 against some aggro, healing with Reno, getting hit in the face by C’Thun, assassinate C’Thun, healing with Reno again and then dropping N’Zoth.

Yup, added Assassinate to fix this. Also added Shadowcaster because it allows me to create cheap 1 mana copies. Depending on the flow of the game, I’ll copy Reno, a higher damage minion or in emergencies anything that will let me switch tempo if I’m behind.

Between Shadowcaster and Shadowstep, you can play Reno 3 times which is kinda sick.

Great guide, especially liked the “base cards” you list…and I agree with that selection. I’ve made a few minor changes and added Anu’barak, Hogger (seriously, Hogger rocks…allowed me to switch tempo so many times) and Assassinate (to kill of C’Thuns after surviving the blast).

Got 3 decent rogue decks now. Yours modified, a dedicated N’Zoth without Reno and a pirate rogue which works surprisingly well.

Got super lucky and scored Anub’arak and Cairne…both now added because of the amazing synergies with card copying and of course N’Zoth.

Only tested this a little bit, but it took out a Reno Rogue and Reno Paladin after spamming N’Zoth twice and three times respectively.

Face hitters are still the most annoying opponent, especially if you get unlucky in terms of being dealt taunt cards.
