Good work Stonekeep, but damn, what a boring expansion! Apart from that Shudderwock BS (and it really is BS), this has got to be the weakest New Year to date. It all just feels very stale. Yes, the Odd/Even idea makes for some interesting deck building, but the results feel very much like stuff we’ve been playing for years. Other than that, it’s just the same decks we’ve seen for ages with some slight variations. :/

I just don’t know about Runespear – people keep trying to use it, and it really is utter junk. Just look at the list of Standard Shaman spell and imagine casting them with random targets. Apart from one board clear and a half decent friendly heal, it’s just all crap. Don’t get me wrong, Shaman has some great offensive spells – when you can pick the target – but it’s no Mage. Most of the time you’re lucky to get a Feral Spirit off and then – and this is the kicker – YOU STILL GET HIT WITH THE OVERLOAD! Dumpster tier card, Blizzard should be ashamed.

Agreed. I’ve always loved Control Warrior and Blizzard desperately wants the class to go that way, so why are all the cards they print so wishy washy? The 2 new legendaries are both good ideas, but just slightly not right (overcosted maybe?). I dunno, I’m no card architect, but something isn’t working – the class is dumpster and with the meta being slower than I can ever remember it *should* be kicking ass!!

BTW – I’m a mostly FTP player (last time I bought cards was Old Gods and even then it was just the preorder 40) and I have pretty much all the viable Standard cards and decks – and I don’t play 24-7 or anything!! I play this deck as is for example – no subs! 😉

It’s enough. People get so hung up on doing massive swing plays with Krul in Wild they forget that a 7/9 plus a 3/9 with taunt and death rattle for 9 is actually a good deal. Dittto 7/9 + 5/7 with charge. And if you get *both* – well lucky you. It doesn’t have to be about pulling 6 massive demons out in one play.

This actually works remarkably well. I’ve beaten cubelocks and tempo rogues so far this morning.

Haha, holy crap, I just beat a Zoolock who coined out Prince turn one! Epic!

This is lots of fun – I even beat an aggro Pally! I don’t have Benidictus, so I swapped in DK – seems good.

I definitely enjoyed the deck and I was right – it’s good fun, but it definitely felt like a bit of a whiff when you play oaken summons and get a raven lol

Initial thoughts: too many bad targets for Oken Summons (Raven, Druid of the Swarm. Even Plated Beetle isn’t a great pull)
