Thought about it for minute, but 4 mana is really expensive, especially when deathrattle puts an unbuffed card into play.
Most of the creatures have battlecry too, so that is lost as well.
It really works against the handbuff archetype.

I don’t have much time to play, but I’m at 8 right now mostly running this and pirate warrior with 2 spellbreakers, and my own custom Jade Druid. Those decks are just so good against most everything.

Played this same list all month with 2 counterspells and 1 ice block. Much more satisfyingly crushing I find.

+ Antonidas + 2 counterspells
– Medivh – 1 Ice Block – 1 Ice Barrier

Works good at lower levels, especially because of counterspell.
Of course turn 10 Antonidas + counterspell = Win.

Blizzard will always put out more spells and deathrattle, which makes those quests especially future-proof, for the same reason you recommended N’Zoth. Except we can use them 1 year longer.

Craft both legendaries, then sub out the rest that you don’t have. It’s worked well for me anyway.

I think I mostly agree with the list except for the quests.
Not just because both Enter the Waygate and Awaken the Makers decks absolutely crush decks running Fire Plume’s Heart.
They’re both very fun cards that you can make solid decks around.
Waygate especially feels future-proof for the next 2 years. Remember that we have 5 more expansions to combo with it.

Not sure why this deck got so many votes either. It’s absolutely useless vs aggro.

Broken mechanic Blizzard never bothered to fix.

Will be a core card for tempo mage. And common, so great for arena too!

Tried it for a few games. Have to say it’s OK, but definitely not as powerful as N’Zoth Jade Shaman.
Good budget deck. Needs more Master of Evolution.

As a side note, removing a 5 star card like Lightning Bolt is EXTREMELY debilitating. Elitists like Kibler and Kripp have all the cards, so they forget the high value cards when slapping their decks together for youtube.

Mirror Image is fine, just sub out the Cult Sorcerers.

Replace Polymorph with Counterspell while you’re at it.

Really surprised at the low score here. I love mage and can’t wait to try and make it work. Probably going to see more of counterspell to set it up.

I can already see my favourite turn 6’s happening:

– Azure Drake + Arcane Blast
– Flamewaker + counterspell
– spell damage minion + counterspell
– coin + Barnes spawns spell damage minion + counterspell
– Emperor Thaurissan, Turn 7 Bloodmage Thalnos for 12

Now that I think about it, this is more a low-cost cleanup card for the early game. Kind of like Zombie Chow. Really bad late game too.
