Update on Patch 15.6 Issues – Fix Coming Next Monday/Tuesday

Anyone who has played the game ever since last patch knows that it… doesn’t work too well. All kinds of bugs were introduced – both ones that were mildly annoying and ones that are potentially gamebreaking. But fear not, because the fix is coming… soon-ish.

Let’s start with the fact that some of the issues were already fixed server-side. Overkill spells now work again, Sathrovarr can’t target opponent’s minions and new Daily Quests are appearing.

Then, more problems should be resolved early next week – Monday or Tuesday. The bugs that should be fixed are: squelching, rerolling Daily Quests, Android crashes, RAM optimization for Battlegrounds.

There are also some issues that are being investigated, but we don’t know when they will get fixed yet. Those include: login problems, empty friend list, decks missing cards (note: as a temporary fix, you want to remove the “ghosted” cards and add them again).

Hey Folks,

In the latest 15.6 patch, Battlegrounds was launched into Early Access. Unfortunately, some bugs also made it into the live game, and the team has been hard at work making sure these get fixed as quickly as possible. Here’s a status update on things:

On Monday (or potentially Tuesday), we’re aiming to ship a 15.6.2 patch that will include the following:

  • Squelch working as intended + no longer causing crashes under certain circumstances
  • Daily Quests can now be rerolled
  • Hallow’s End Arena Daily Quest can now be completed
  • A variety of Android crashes have been fixed
  • Memory optimization for Battlegrounds for devices with less than 2GB of RAM

Here are some things that have been resolved with a server patch (meaning you don’t have to download it) that’s already live:

  • Spells now trigger Overkill effects
  • Sathrovarr can now no longer target enemy minions with its Battlecry
  • New Daily Quests can be obtained
  • Big Boss Battle Quest can now be completed by just playing two matches and should only be accessible by players with Battlegrounds access

The team is continuing to investigate the following issues:

  • Login issues
  • Friends List appearing empty
  • Decks missing cards / appearing incomplete
  • Samsung Galaxy Note devices not being able to use the phone’s S-Pen stylus
  • Unable to re-add a card back into a deck (workaround: remove the ghosted card and then attempt it)

If you encounter other problems, please let us know in the comments below. We appreciate you bearing with us and we’re sorry for the rockiness. Once we have info on the remaining issues, we’ll be sure to update this thread.

Cheers,
Chris_Attalus

For the deck issue -> Open the deck and close it (you’ll see the number of cards missing has reduced by 1 or 2). Repeat the process and you’ll be ok until you log in again.

Except that ‘removing ghosted cards’ doesn’t work (nothing happens), at least on all of my devices. What I have to do is replace the ghosted card, remove the replacing card and then adding the former ghosted card.

‘Best thing’ is that all is back to bug when logging off and on again. :/

HS really wants to prevent players from playing the game for some time now …
