General Information

  • You get one Standard card pack for winning your first game in this week’s Brawl.
  • It’s the sixth time we see this Brawl. Last time we’ve seen it on November 2, 2022.
  • It’s a PvP Brawl.
  • Brawl’s format is Wild.
  • It’s a random decks Brawl. Your deck is full of random Zombeasts.
  • Both players start as a Deathstalker Rexxar Hero with 0 mana Hero Power, which means that they can create additional Zombeasts every turn!
  • Starting health of players was reduced to 20 and mana was increased to 3 in order to keep the games shorter.
  • While you can’t control the outcome of the Zombeasts in your deck, you have some agency over the ones you create. Since both players start at 20 health, and you aren’t winning a “value game” (because both players have essentially infinite value), your goal is to be aggressive, rush your enemy down. Cards with Charge or Stealth are the strongest since they’re nearly guaranteed to hit face. Rush is also incredibly useful as it gives you tempo and board control. Then we have Lifesteal/Taunt cards, which you should look for if you’re behind in order to stabilize.
  • Start by picking low-cost Beasts that you can immediately play – even if you have some really good, high-cost Beast to pick from but you won’t be able to play it in a few turns, you should probably skip it and focus on here and now.

Does the pool of beast offered by DS Rex ever update?

Haven’t seen an elwynn boar anywhere.

Turns out Wolpertinger and Hippogryph is a pretty good combo

Nice that they listened to the complaints from last time and reduced the starting health to keep game length reasonable hehe

Was a fun game but i doubt i will play this tavern brawl again this week. It took FOREVER to win 1 game.

Agreed! Don’t try to squeeze this one in on 10-minute break. It could end up taking a lot longer.

None of my games lasted long. My first opponent rolled Charge minions 4 turns in a row while going first.

Yeah, now its normal, but when i made that comment last year, both players started with 30 HP and 1 mana, so both players had time to create zombeasts to counter bassically anything. And even if you were loosing , it was very easy to come back with a big rush/lifesteal beast. Now, since there is less health and you start with more mana, there is less time to acumulate answers, and if you are explosive enough (for example i won by crafting big angry chickens XD) your enemy doenst have enough time to respond or come back before you kill it 😛

    Nice!
I love DK Rexxar because of the zombeasts. No other Herocard has something that special like him.
