Shop Update: Vengeant Kurtrus & Shadow-Touched Xyrella Bundles (Hero Portrait + 5x Class Pack)

Today’s Tuesday, so it’s time for another weekly shop update. This time we have two new Constructed sets featuring brand new Hero skins bundled together with card packs:

  • Vengeant Kurtrus Bundle – Demon Hunter Hero Portrait + 5x Demon Hunter Card Pack for $9.99.
  • Shadow-Touched Xyrella Bundle – Priest Hero Portrait + 5x Priest Card Pack for $9.99.

We already got similar bundles for Warrior and Hunter two weeks ago, so I think that we will go through all of the remaining Mercenaries soon too. Those are similar to the bundles we got back when Book of Heroes was being released, with Class Packs being valued at $1 per pack, it means that the skin itself costs $5. It’s not a bad deal if you like those cosmetics, but do keep in mind that they’re “Tier 2” skins, which means that they only add come with new portrait + new voicelines for the base emotes. No extra animations, no new lines. Still, $5 per skin sounds about right for those.

Both of those bundles rotate out on April 11, just before Sunken City’s release. It’s also worth mentioning that if you end up buying them, you might want to wait before opening the packs. Class packs always give you cards from the current Standard year, so they will have a significantly higher value in just 2 weeks (unless you really want cards from 2020 expansions).

Any chance to get these portraits in the future? I’ve missed Rokara & Tavish 🙁

Honestly the biggest value in these small bundles are the class packs. The skins are ok but we live in a time and age where there are literal sh1tloads of skins like that, so they aren’t all that valuable in the end compared to “full” premium skins or 1000 wins portraits. Getting class packs however is ALWAYS a pretty sweet deal, so I think paying double price to ensure you get cards for your class is still pretty decent.
