Shop Update: New Constructed Skin + Wild Bundles

Another shop update dropped today! It’s a really small update, but maybe it’s good given that we had one of the biggest updates ever last week with Patch 29.2. This time we only have one new skin bundle and two Wild bundles. If you ask me, while usually a bit cheaper than regular packs, Wild packs/bundles are still vastly overpriced. Most of the cards you get from Wild packs are bad, only a very small portion of them is playable. Doubly so for Golden Wild packs, I think you have to be a turbo whale to aim at a full Golden Wild collection, the bundle is completely pointless for an average player. But hey, it is what it is. Here are all of the new items that are available this week:

  • Princess Prestor Bundle (1000 Runestones or $10) – New Tier 2 Mage skin + 5 Mage card packs.
  • Wild Bundle (3000 Runestones or $30) – 2 Random Wild Legendary Cards + 30 Wild card packs.
  • Golden Wild Bundle (7000 Runestones or $70) – 2 Random Golden Wild Legendary Cards + 25 Golden Wild card packs.

Tier 1 skins are “premium” ones while Tier 2 are more basic. In general, Tier 1 skins tend to include more extra features like completely new emotes, Hero Power animations, and some extra visual effects. Some of those might be also included in Tier 2 skins, but usually only 1 of those special features is present (if any). It’s not an official classification – it’s just something we use to differentiate between more basic and premium skins! Blizzard has added their own “rarities” for Battlegrounds skins, but they haven’t done it so far for Constructed (the only one is Legendary with 3D animated portraits).

New items usually stay in the shop for around 1-2 weeks – sometimes it’s longer (3 or more weeks) but I wouldn’t universally count on that, so if you’re interested in one of them, get them soon.

i totally agree that wild packs are vastly overpriced, but at least they give me access to to the legacy cards that were taken away from my collection by the core set rotation.

That being said, I like the quest of completing entire sets, and I hate what they have done with the cereation of the cavern of times set: They just effectively disabled the duplicate protection for all reprinted cards, so there are like 18 legends that you can pull twice, 16 epics that you can pull 4 times each, thereby making the completion of sets much more difficult.

Maybe blizzard will someday clean up the mess they created, but i highly doubt it because it would just reduce the amount of money collectors have to spend
