Patch 22.0 Is Now Live on PC! (Update: And Mobile!)

Patch 22.0, which was announced yesterday, was just released on PC. Just like always, it should be out on mobile in up to a few hours (sometimes it takes 1h, sometimes 3h, it’s hard to say exactly). Update: The patch should be out on mobile too! Here’s a summary of what you can expect in the patch:

  • Fractured in Alterac Valley Expansion Releases December 7 – “X.0” patches are always expansion pre-release patch, which means that they add all the card data, achievements and so on into the game. Fractured in Alterac Valley officially releases on December 7, but you will already be able to download the patch early so you can enjoy the expansion the moment it drops without needing to download anything extra.
  • Mercenaries Update – We’re getting four new Mercenaries in total – three now (Valeera Sanguinar, Sky Admiral Rogers, Trigore the Lasher) and one more when the expansion releases (Vanessa VanCleef). It also looks like Blizzard is adding Mercs to the rewards track. Vanessa is a free Epic Mercenary you unlock at the start of expansion AND you can get extra portraits for her through Tavern Pass. On top of that, four new bounties were added to the Blackrock Zone.
  • Battlegrounds Update – Diablo event is finally over – it’s not like the event itself was bad, but after all the buffs, the Hero’s power level was simply too high. We’re also getting a new Hero – Scabbs Cutterbutter, which discovers plain copies of minions from your NEXT opponent’s warband. A pretty interesting effect. On top of that, we’re getting a new cosmetic – Battlegrounds Boards. If you purchase one, you will have a chance to play on it when facing opponent (however, if he has another custom board there’s a chance you will play on theirs instead).
  • Duels Update – When expansion drops, it will get added to the card pool alongside Goblins vs Gnomes (we’re getting closer and closer to all sets being available in Duels). On top of that, FIFTEEN new Passive Treasures got added to the pool.
  • Arena Rotation – Current Dual-Class Arena is going to end, and we’re getting a new rotation when the expansion drops. Starting December 7, the following sets will be available in Arena: Core, Fractured in Alterac Valley, Scholomance Academy, Saviors of Uldum, The Boomdsay Project, Kobolds and Catacombs, and League of Explorers.
  • Bug Fixes – Just like always, a bigger patch means a lot of bug fixes. You can find a full list in patch notes.

Hey Stonekeep. Regarding the patch 22.0 have you heard by chance about a known issue regarding Vanndar Stormpike hero power that before the patch was lacking the custom animation? Was on the patch notes and was fixed in this patch. The problem is that, at least in my case, the hero power now has the animation but has no sound effect when using it, its like its muted. I dont know if is just me or maybe this time they did the hero power without any special sound effect, but it looks weird to me because in the past custom hero powers have had different sound effects.
I just wanted to know if someone knew something because I am not able to report it in the bugs forum in Hs page.

I really wish they would have the Duels sets work more like Arena. When you have all the cards, it just feels like wild with extra powers.
