New Mage Hero Skin: Khadgar (iOS Exclusive)

A new Mage hero skin Khadgar has been revealed that is iOS Exclusive. 100% of the proceeds to go the WWF (World Wildlife Fund, not Wrestling!), and is available until April 24th PDT. The Khadgar Hero Skin costs $4.99 USD.

This Blizzard promotion is part of Apple’s iOS App Campaign to raise money for the WWF.

Note: I would recommend holding off on getting the new Hero until they fix the patch on all devices. If you update your Hearthstone account on an Apple device you will be locked out from playing on other devices until they fix the patch. The patch is currently slated to be added at 5PM PDT. It should be working now!

Blizzard’s Official Statement

Blizzard Entertainment, Apple, and WWF are working together to protect life on our planet. From now until April 24, Apple customers* will be able to purchase the Khadgar hero from the in-game Hearthstone shop for $4.99 USD ($7.99 AUD). Not only will you be able to harness arcane power untold, but you’ll be doing your part to save the planet! WWF will receive 100% of the proceeds from the purchase of Khadgar. Aid them in their heroic quest to protect the natural world.

Yes, just as the other platform exclusives are.

Note that in this case, you can make the purchase *from* an iOS device and it propagates through to all other platforms.

Sorry for asking in such an odd place but the card ‘nightblade’ from the basic set is missing from deck builder as well as the card catalog.

It is! And thanks, Its such a forgotten card that I see why it was left out. However I think I may have actually found a place for it in my last deck.

When can we make the purchase? It isn’t showing up in my store. I tried on both iPad and iPod.

You need to update your Hearthstone App with the new patch. If you don’t see an update they might have brought it down briefly.

Great idea but can’t help but think it should have been a Druid rather than a Mage

I think it was Mage simply because it is one of the more popular classes, and this new hero is for charity rather than to make money. I don’t think it would be very fair if this was the new Druid alt hero (for example) if that is the only one Druid is getting for now. It makes sense to have it be an alt of a class that already has an alt hero skin so that the classes without an alt hero skin have a more obtainable skin.
