Blizzard just posted a teaser for the upcoming expansion. Players have quickly figured out that it might have something to do with a fan-favorite Whizbang the Wonderful.

The whole teaser is a bit too on the nose. “Wonderful things are coming”, “Kicking Off The Year With A Bang“. In the image, we also see a toy box with the letter “M”… which you can flip to get the letter “W”, as in Whizbang. While not 100% confirmed, it seems that Whizbang will play a part in the next expansion.
As for the overall theme of the expansion – to have extra context, it’s worth bringing up the 2024 expansions teaser they already shared earlier today:
The social media teaser presents some kind of workshop with a toy box on the table. The year of the Pegasus teaser also shows some toys and gears. If we add that together, the obvious conclusion would be Whizbang running a toy workshop. Given the rainbow/sparkles in the Pegasus teaser, it seems that the expansion is going to be pretty whimsical, which is quite fitting for Hearthstone. Maybe something along the lines of toys coming to life? Hearthstone’s version of “Toy Story”?
Of course, we won’t have to wait long for the official confirmation. The expansion should be announced tomorrow – not only does the teaser state that “tomorrow we’re kicking off the year”, but expansion teasers have been dropping a day before the announcement for a while now.
They could also bring back Jepetto Joybuzz or Dollmaster Dorian, though the latter is too dark for the theme.
My first thought about the “M” was Gelbin Mekkatorque.
