New Arena Rotation After Wailing Caverns Mini-Set Releases

Earlier today, Celestalon announced a new Arena rotation on Twitter. Those are always a big deal for Arena players, since they impact the meta heavily. Not only the new mini-set will be added, but we’ll have two more expansions rotating out (and two others taking their place). Here’s the list:

Removed: Mean Streets of Gadgetzan, Rise of Shadows

Added: Goblins vs Gnomes, Kobolds & Catacombs, Wailing Caverns

While at it, you might want to keep an Arena run open (but not finished) – at rotations, Arena runs usually get canceled and refunded with a free ticket, but you still get to keep the rewards from the retired run. The best idea is to get your run to 2 loses and stop there to not risk ending it yourself. For example, if you hit 3-2 tomorrow, you can just stop there and get your 3 wins rewards for “free”. Profit!

Well, I still have 4 tickets, 1 from the last arena, and 3 from FitB reward track. Time to do some quick reward grab (4 packs for free). Thanks for the reminder.

What time would you think the update would happen? (Eastern time zone) that way i know when to have my run ready for a free ticket

1pm EST (the usual would be my guess)
and what is it? 1 hour before rotation new Arena tickets are disabled.

Hopefully they remove Ysera from Arena or something like that (only draftable not discoverable?)

Updates usually drop at 10 AM PT, so that would be 1 PM EST I think.

But like Durps said, be sure to start your Arena run earlier, not right before the update. They disable an option to start new runs shortly before rotation. I would go even further than 1h, at least a few hours just to be sure.
