Neutral Rotating Cards Nerf Reverts Announced

Game Designer Alec Dawson just announced a final batch of nerf reverts – for Neutral cards! You can check out reverts for all the classes here:

Nerf reverts are planned for Patch 20.0. Keep in mind that the patch will release a few days BEFORE expansion’s release and rotation, which means that for a few days we’ll still have the current meta, just with multiple card changes.

Current version is on the left side, unnerfed version is on the right side.

Reverting nerfs on cars that used to be classic and are now not in core is understandable. Reverting nerfs from 5 years ago on cards that are only in wild does not as much. No one asked for changes to Undertaker, even though its not really as much as an issue as it was during Naxx. I get that balancing a format with all cards ever made is very difficult, but some of these nerfs made sense, and still be. It just brings up concerns if wild is going to be a fun format with legacy cards that sometimes create a few unbalanced power spikes, or a dumping ground for broken cards to unleash degenerate playstyles.

Will alex be able to generate itself again or is only the cost nerf reverted?

Nice, glad to see the birb is back. Could be interesting to see how these changes affect aggro decks too.

Archivist Elysiana is actually a nerf for odd warrior in Wild, LOL.

So, uhm, Wild is Aggro World now, eh?

Aggro decks are quite common in Wild- they’re quick and cheap on dust. The nerf reversions will likely give aggro a bit of a boost, but I’m confident slower decks will adapt to the changing meta.
