Purple with a strong look at what could be coming for Face Hunter in the near future. The surprise card here is On the Hunt, Purple tweeted that it’s a “kill command activator. so closer to stonetusk boar that bypasses taunt. thus better” [Source]. The deck really doesn’t employ a lot of the new cards other than that and Fiery Bat. We’ll see if Hunter finds a strong midrange list or if it’s relegated to an aggressive list.

This is a pretty strong deck at least at rank 14. Is it ok to run a freezing because I don’t have Leroy?

With all these cards now nerfed, the whole Face Hunter archetype has been nerfed to oblivion. Face Hunter was already not doing well in the metagame, but now they are just beating a dead horse. At least they could have kept the Charge in Arcane Golem or kept the Ironbeak Owl’s cost at 2.

Otherwise they could have given Charge to Ironbeak Owl…

It will run you some Gold but you get Quick Shot as your very first class challenge in Blackrock Mountain, so there is no reason why you should not actively unlock the card yourself.

Has anyone messed around with the a deathrattle hunter deck with Princess Huhuran, Sylvannas, N’Zoth and all the great deathrattle beasts hunters got this expansion?

    No hunter’s mark?! Why?

Hunter’s Mark costs 1 mana. You can no longer use it for free.

This deck works very well atm. Went from 10 to 5 in one hour. So few taunts in the meta right now and no healbots. Fast enough to race aggro shaman with careful play. Really annoyed that this works better than midrange. ForeverSMOrcFeelsbadman.

What do u think about adding BlodeMage Thanalos? This deck has 9 spells!

One Legendary is bad enough already. It would cost another 1,600 dust or a lucky pull. I have no clue about the current state but Face Hunter was meant to be a deck for players who barely had any dust.

This deck is great actually. So many people are trying C’Thun, N’Zoth and other greedy stuff that face decks just boost through the ladder fast.

Actually, I would say the polar opposite because there are no counters to such cards. There are too many cards that buff C’Thun, and there is no way to cancel their effects or prevent them. Combine that with Taunt minions, and the only way to counter these C’Thun decks is to run a C’Thun deck yourself and get your C’Thun up first. I doubt if we will ever see Face Hunter in live tournaments in the future.

Remember when we used to be able to say, “Sub Arcane Golem for Leeroy if you don’t have him.” Alas, those days are gone.

Now I guess you can use Argent Commander!

If you are looking for a 6 mana charge (Which, for a face deck, it’s already hell expensive), shouldn’t Reckless Rocketeer be a better option? Maybe even Jungle Panther could be a cheaper consideration for Arcane Golem replacement as a 3-drop.

Yeah, that’s a good point, I always forget about Reckless Rocketeer.

I haven’t played this particular list, but you should be able to make high ranks/legend with it.

Reckless Rocketeer gives you 5Att for 6 mana and Leeroy gives you 6Att for 5 mana. So as a finisher I still use Leeroy.
