You'll be discovering many of your plays throughout the game, so Exarch Naielle should the one must of your deck.
Aggro Mulligans
At the start of the game, Go for rangari scout, tracking asap (double Niri is amazing, but wound prey and mixologist also have worked wonders for me). Start clearing some board and start discovering with Naielle soon to get the good stuff and discount your Alien Encounters. Double Niri with Rangari Scout+Birdwatching is pretty much gg.
By turn 6, you should be able to come back to the board with Bob and maybe some leftover minions. You have plenty of ways to clear the board with Gnomelia, Veranus, the potions and minions. Ideally, the game against aggro should be over by turn 7, but sometimes it can drag till 10+
Niri of the Crater
Brand new expansion, new ideas, new challenges. After trying the new quest warlock and bumping into a murloc wall, I decided to update the discover hunter I had from next expansion with a few additions.
I have been playing since yesterday, battled against around 80% murloc paladin and have a WR of 70% against it. I feel it works well in general (even though it could definitely use some tweaking, I don’t like Odd Map nor am I convinved about Story of Carnassa). Against Paladin, Rangari explorer if you’re going first, knowing that quest is coming, gives you enough time for some early treasures. Most of the spells you’ll be using are 1 mana, so Niri makes the most out of them, and the interaction with Broll is awesome.
Against Paladin, just try to get as much as possible out there and block his stupidity with a good Bob’s frost nova and finish the job with a mix of resources you’ve been gathering. Alien Encounters has also been a highlight, using it at 1 cost to get 2 extra bodies in the field.
Pretty fun deck to play. Get your revenge on those murlocs and start climbing the ladder!
