Mulligans
General Mulligans
If you can even barely survive in the early game there isn't a deck that can out value you, you want to try and use the discover mechanic that this deck has with Netherspite, Hydrologist and Stone Hill to ideally turn 4 twilight drake, from this you'll see several lines of play and which you take is entirely your choice. If you believe the deck you're against may be aggro then try and take equality, although this deck doesn't have wild pyromancer the early minion presence will either allow for triggers with equality or put you in a situation in which you don't need the card.
Aggro Mulligans
When playing against aggro, depending on the type you must mulligan to merely survive. If nightbane is played against an opposing minion it is very often (due to the nature of the card and it not seeing any play) the opponent will either ignore it or trade into a 1/1, allowing you to exploit these plays I have against legend rank players.
Midrange Mulligans
You have the early game to compete but don't be disheartened if murlocs get the better of you at the start of the game. Remember once you claw back in the game you stabilise faster than many decks with cards like book wyrm being important in winning board back in the mid-late game.
Control Mulligans
It's very difficult to lose this match up and I am yet to. REMEMBER you're a control deck! Controlling the game doesn't mean you're always winning when it comes to board presence, letting your opponent think they're close to beating you is a staple of this decks curve, the ability to quickly change the board state or heal gives you the advantage over burn decks as well as board heavy decks.
Finally! I main paladin and have went through all different incarnations of control paladin. This is by far the funnest deck (and is 13-1 at legend rank) I’ve used on hearthstone and is a breath of fresh air when compared to the current curvestone paladin decks. This takes thought and that thought is greatly rewarded. I hope to see this deck more commonly used to purge the murlocs from my class! I hope you have success with it as I have! Good luck!
