Mulligans
General Mulligans
It goes without saying, but do not mulligan your quest, lol. Outside of getting ETC, you really just want cheap discover in the early game to complete your quest as early as possible, with Infinitize the Maxitude, Pocket Dimension, and Tide Pools being your best ways to get a lot of discovers off. Magic Trick and Primodial Glyph are also solid early discover options and can often lead to more discover, but aren't as reliable as the previous three at getting long discover chains.Finish the quest, draw ETC and Reverberations, then with any spell that costs 1 or with a discovered spell that costs 5 or less, for 8-9 mana (or 5-6 if you play the weapon in an earlier turn) you play Origin Stone (3), ETC (4) and select Antonidas, the weapon summons Tae’thelan and Thaddius on odd polarity, play Antonidas (1), and if Thaddius summons first, you will need to cast Reverb (1) on him, activating Antonidas, and if not, the spell mentioned before will cost 0, allowing you to pop off and A-HA! the enemy hero to death. No Renethal to make combo way more consistent, with Highlander for extra survivability to help draw into ETC, plus Zephrys for anti Ice Block, although we both know he’s just going to give you Temple Enforcer, lol. You can use Card Grader and Xavius to look for ETC. Also Reno, Lone Ranger mana refresh hero power + Coldarra Drake combo in case your main combo gets stopped.
I think a non Highlander version of this would probably be more consistent overall, but I like having a backup win condition, as there is a lot of disruption for this combo in wild (Dirty Rat, Mutanus, Theotar, Hamm the Hungry, etc.). Lorekeeper Polkelt is included to have better chances of drawing into the Reno wincon, as it is at most 4 draws after playing him to get both pieces.
If you don’t draw Reverb, but are facing lethal in the following turn, it’s probably best to do the coinflip and pray Tae’thelan summons first. If you are ever offered Reverb, or any other cheap copy spell as a discover option, I would suggest taking it unless the other option is game-winning to help with this. Also if you wait till 10 mana, you can always pick Thaddius to play and guarantee the order, as he will cost 6 mana with Tae’thelan, but you will need either 1 cost spell from your deck, or a 5 or less cost spell you discovered (Infinitize the Maxitude gained from it’s finale also works for this).
