    Alright guys, help me out

I’m a new player, just started last month. I bought like $20 worth of assorted packs and it turns out king mosh, dk garrosh, rotface and rogue’s edwin van cleef are the only decent legendaries i own, so I dusted some stuff and crafted more cards for this deck hoping to climb the ladder with it.

It’s kind of a disaster so far. Given, I still lack 2x sleep with the fishes (which I don’t really want to craft since it’s gonna rotate out soon), 2x shield slam and harrison jones.

I swapped jones out for an ooze, sleep with the fishes for 2 mountainfire armors an the shield slams for rotface (because i want to use as many legendaries as humanly posssible) and a second battle rage.

I’m stuck in rank 18. Give it straight to me, do I just suck major balls or are those 4 cards really that crucial for the deck to work? Any decent substitutes?

You got to craft Sleep of the fish. The point of putting Whirlwind in the deck is to activate Sleep, its 4 mana flamestrike with 2 cards. Fish is the core of the deck and can not be replace. You can replace Mosh with Brawl, Harrison with Ooze, but Fish and the DK and Deadman hand is irreplacable.
One more thing, even if you have the full deck, you still loose, and loose a lot. This deck is for the very experience Control Warrior only, we play it because we love to play CW, the deck that was one of the most powerful deck now turn to one of the weakest decks, because Blizzard fcuk up the class. So if you are a new player and want to rank up, this is not the deck for you.

This deck is hard to play. If you just started playing, you probably haven’t gotten the best feel for ranked yet (predicting the other player’s move and knowing all the strong meta decks). That said, this deck also isn’t going to win a lot of games simply because there are better decks right now. The reason the deck is hard to play is because you have to make a lot of smart decisions based on what youre playing against in order to contend in this meta. Other decks are simply stronger and more straight-forward. Cubelock, for example, relies sole on a few big swing turns involving the cube/dark pact and voidlord/charge demon. Control warrior kind of needs a tutorial against every meta deck in order for you to play it to the best of its ability.

Harrison is not necessary. An anti-weapon card isn’t even that necessary. So an Ooze is fine in its place. Sleep with the Fishes is almost staple in control warrior decks so not having 2 of those is definitely hurting you. Shield slam is also very strong in this armor heavy control deck. So not having those is also hurting you.

Thanks for the replies Felixhanna and AOLCustomer. I guess I’m just gonna wait until the next expansion and rotation and see if it’s more viable then and hopefully sleep with the fishes gets a decent replacement that I can craft without remorse.

this deck was made to destroy aggro decks on ladder like pala / rogue. warlock is an okayish matchup thanks to silence and dead mans hand. priest should be an insta loss.

I am 10-3 with this deck, it is incredible. I don’t agree the priest is an insta loss, i have 3 wins against priest. You make too many armor for razakus, for big priest you have a lot of control and you dont care the 4/8 taunt, only the dragon is more difficult i think, but i didn’t face it. Against razakus and big priest, i never fel risky.

I switch one sentry and king mosh for elise and yip, they both made me won game.
Dead’s man hand on both make too much value in late game, and elise help on fatigue too.

I manage to silence rin against a control demo before playing geist, that mean he can’t use dark pact on him.

I always tried to have these cards in hand for dead man hand : yip, elise, armorer, sentry, and some control like execution shield slam, others value cards are bonus.

I should try the king mosh but recently i did have yip in gold so i make it a try and i’m not disapointed 🙂

I think elise is a great add in this deck.

        And 18 – 5 tonight

1 lose against dragon priest, i didn’t have the cards for handle his pressure.
1 lose against a jade drood who won just because of an insane yogg that give him the won for a 100% lost game for him the next turn as he was taking 7 from fatigue with 3 life.

Elise and yip were again win conditions against control decks.

5 win against at all against razakus, with a yip making a win for one of these matchs.
Manage to build like 80-90 armor against one of them XD (i had the shield + 15 armor 2 times and 2 times more for dead’s man hand)

how do you manage without Mosh? kibler was playing this deck and mosh was almost always crucial in clearing boards against warlocks and other decks

also how do you make elise fit in this deck? how would rotface fit in this deck instead of yip?

Do you have a link to Kibler’s list? I know he tweaked it a bit and would like to compare the two. It’s not on topdecks or Kibler’s twitter.

kibler replaced harrison with battle rage and spell breaker with yipp. those were the only chnages to the list. he said that spell breaker was probably better but he wanted to have fun with yipp

I don’t have king mosh and never tried it, i think you could replace it by a brawl if u really want board clearing. But i think it should be certainly a good choice, i just need to craft the card…
Dead’s man hand with elise give you 2 packs and help against hard control decks, it gave me some win, i remenber a match where my opponent leave when i just opened my second pack. It happened against priest and demo, more often against priest.
I think rotface his decent but more random, with you have often turn 10 and that’s cool the body 4/8 is too hard to control for priest.
            Actually i’m 23 – 7 with it.
The hard matchups, are still midrange, tempo rogue isn’t so easy too…

I did try reckeless flurry, thinking it was good, and finally it is really bad, dont craft it…
Losing all your armor is too bad, and make a game lost most of the time after i played it…

What’s the win condition here? How do you deal damage?

    • Thepaincave
      December 26, 2017 at 1:26 pm

I think the win condition is fatigue. I gave it a go at around rank 4-5 but with + 1 Brawl/- 1 Mosh since I don’t have Mosh. I lost more than I won…I think it’s a tough deck to play unless you’re a pro like Fibonacci. Or maybe Mosh is just super important. Anyway I love the idea and it’s super fun to play Sentry into Drywhisker into a whirlwind affect, but I couldn’t make it work on ladder.

At first this deck looks quite janky but as another user said, it’s works beautifully when you figure it out. Only a small sample size but I’m 7-0 with it around rank 8-6, granted I’ve only met tempo and aggro decks. Managed to grind a Turn 3 shadowstep Keleseth Tempo Rogue to concede.

Probably my fav thing is about this deck is that the various variety of combos and plays you can do. Cornered Sentry into the opponent boards, plus Drywhisker Armorer then Bladestorm/Whirlwind/Brawl/Blood Razor is cute. I don’t have King Mosh so I decided to run Geosculptor Yip initially for meme purposes but he’s been pretty good.

Only a good player can handle this deck, beautiful list. Fibonacci is the CW king.

No idea how this works on ladder. 0-6 @ R5. Even in a Ctrl meta it’s unable to keep up w/ Big Priest Recalls and Guldan/Rin. Fino is just psychic and could win with anything.
