Mulligans

Your strategy is a “Turbo-Ramp” Rogue. You are using Coins and Cost Reduction to cheat out game-ending threats turns before they should naturally appear.

Kil’jaeden: Your primary win condition. Once played, your deck is replaced by an infinite Portal of Demons that grow by +2/+2 every turn.

Warmaster Blackhorn: Your “Deck-Thinner.” He destroys cards in your and your enemies deck that cost 2 or less. Since your early game is packed with 0, 1, and 2-cost spells, playing Blackhorn ensures that every subsequent draw is a high-impact card (like Kil’jaeden, Garona, or Dubious Purchase). It silences aggro decks and makes perfect use of King Llane.

Mulligan Guide

You want cards that cycle your deck or generate the mana needed for your big turns.

  • Always Keep:  Dig for Treasure: Essential for finding your few minions and getting those early Coins.

    • The Kingslayers: Early board control and Coin generation.

    • Maestra, Mask Merchant: Provides a “disguise” and potential alternate win conditions/survivability.

  • Keep with a good hand:

    • Preparation: Only keep if you already have a 3 or 4-cost spell (like Raiding Party or Dubious Purchase) to cheat out early.

    • Oh, Manager!: Great if you expect a slow matchup where you can safely stack Coins.

  • Always Toss:

    • Kil’jaeden & Blackhorn: They are 7-mana. Keeping them in your opening hand is a “death sentence” against aggro; you have enough draw to find them later.
