Eidos’ Cold Whispers

Hi there, I’m Eidos, a player who loves to make decks and play in the
arena. I’ve never ranked seriously (only until 3-5 when I need dust and
I’m not too lazy that month) but I do play the game consistently since
the realease, a little bit most days. I play mainly on EU and my
favourite color was green. Before my soul suffered and turned me purple. Let’s
start.

Believe it or not, this monstruosity works. Yes, I know, dear reader, I know. This deck is no way nearly as powerfull as the current net-freeze with Malygos, and no assistance of Antonidas, but it has not only reasonable match ups where the freeze does but even better ones against some other like the mirror or aggro.  The point of this deck other than entertainment is to play the game the way the freeze mage used to, slowing the game a little but more than now.

The dream win condition it’s Emperor Thaurissan  hitting Malygos  Frostbolt x2  Ice Lance x2 for neat 34 damage, after using Alexstrasza if case the opponend had armor, wich if you speed things up, and use both Forgotten Torch (forgotten and roaring) and Fireball maybe is lower than 19. Not guaranteed, but not impossible. This is hard to put together, but against control you should be able to do it. Against aggro don’t be very greedy with your damage spells but try to keep one frostbolt and doomsayer if possible as initial plan.

This deck draws a lot, do not keep Reno Jackson  but look for draw, a freeze mage without draw is cold dead. In general lines you should be able to have an active Reno most of the time you need him since the few duplicates and the decent ammount of draw.

The Curator  It’s the last adittion to the deck, and I’m wondering if it’s worth it. At the moment, it’s great against control to pick one of my dragons and even the Coldlight Oracle  and pretty good against aggro so, he will draw a few more cards before I decide to throw it or leave it.

in case you face don’t face any big minion (wich is unlikely due to some kind of 4 mana 7-7 but with the raise of the midrange, could be).

Second copy of blizzard was the actual spot of the curator.

These ones are a matter of personal prefference. I do like the quick nature of AI but providing damage in the board or messing up enemy turns it’s also useful. I would say use whatever of those. Double AI is quite better for Reno also, keep that in mind.

Well, that’s it, if I remember anything I will come here to fix it. I
wanted to share the deck since I made it from nothing (not saying I’m
the firs one to make it, I’m not that informed about the Heartstone
community) and it’s kinda fun for me try a new (old) approach to the freeze mage. I wanted to upload it here since this is the only web I use to see
other’s people decks, and I really like some of the silly stuff and not
that silly you people bring here, so I wanted to give my two cents.
