Do you love Dragons? Do you love Mage? Do you love Freeze Mage? Well I got news for you, this is my dragon freeze mage. This deck aims to have the freezing and stalling power of a freeze mage and have the extra minions with dragons. In the current meta I feel this deck has some of the best stat minions to deal with shaman and zoo.

Against Shaman it is all about whether or not you draw your flamestrike or book wyrm. Book Wyrm is your key removal against Thunder Bluff, Flametongue, and even the spell damage Totem when your opponent has Spirit Claws. You will definitely need that Ice block for surviving late game. Medivh’s Valet can be a key card to help remove any minions such as Totem Golem and even Thing from Below. When it comes to Netherspite Historian you want to aim for Alexstrasza and Chillmaw. There is a greater chance of this with using the combo of Brann and Netherspite. Twilight Guardian can be your savior. The 3/6 taunt can stop most things and can force your opponent into using spells to remove it such as lightning bolt and Hex. You want to use Doomsayer and Frost Nova only when you have no removal such as flamestrike. Frostbolt is your main force to stop any real minion or Spirit Claws from hitting face.

Zoo is kind of the same. You want to aim to get the board early with tough minions such as Blackwing Technician and Faerie Dragon. For Netherspite picks you want to aim for Chillmaw, Book Wyrm, and Twilight Guardian. Book Wyrm should used to remove a 3 or less attack Darkshire Councilman, Knife Juggler, Flame Imp, or Silverware Golem. Zoo is the best matchup for this deck as there are just so many value stat minions and removals that can remove a board and keep your face safe with cards like Twilight Guardian.

Warrior and Priest are kind of the same match-up when it comes to Control and Fatigue. You need to get your dragons out ASAP and get that face damage done early. Against Warrior, Brawl is a threat to your board, so don’t fill up the board too much. Against Priest aim to take out Priest of the Feast with your fireballs or Book Wyrm’s, as this is their best chance to survive the match. With Netherspite aim for Alexstrasza, Ysera, Nefarian, Chromaggus, and most late game Dragons. Even though Priest match-ups are kind of unlikely in the current meta.

Against Tempo Mage aim to take out their board with your minions and try to survive. Most versions in the meta are now more aggressive and tend to try and achieve lethal by turn 7. You need to get your Ice Block by about turn 5, which is why I might recommend keeping it in your mulligan. Use Book Wyrm to take out Mana Wyrm, Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Flamewaker, Cult Sorcerer, and Water Elemental. Blackwing Corruptor and Medivh’s Valet can be used to help remove tougher minions such as Azure Drake, Emperor Thaurissan, and almost all minions that your Tempo opponent can play can all easily be removed with these cards and your minions.

Against Druid you want to aim to survive as long as you can. Malygos with two living Roots and Moonfire is 26 damage total so you need to count when your opponent plays the living roots. This is key to surviving this match-up. You want to remove Fandral when he is played. You can do this with fireball, blackwing corruptor, Medivh’s Valet, and Book Wyrm. Ice block should be found by about turn 5 as your opponent should have more mana due to Wild Growth and Mire Keeper. With Netherspite, aim for Nefarian, Alexstrasza, Drakonid Crusher, Twilight Guardian, Deathwing: Dragonlord, and Ysera. Curator can help with blocking face damage from Arcane Giants. This is probably the toughest matchup for this deck.

General Mulligan: Faerie Dragon, Netherspite Historian, Blackwing Technician, Frostbolt

Against Aggro, Shaman, Zoo: Frostbolt, Netherspite Historian, Blackwing Technician, Frostbolt, Ice Block, Doomsayer.
