C´Thun-Dragonpriest

Hi Folks, the name is docshi and i be totally known for denying to be Legend. For sure you can not follow me on twich, facebook or some other social media stuff. 😉

No, serious, i have a family and don´t wanna play allways Tier 1 deck just to come up. I like to try out different decks and create some. And for sure i try decks like this one on the ladder for serious testing.

The reason why you should take a chance on this deck is, because its very good.

I went after testing and working on it from rank 16 to 10 with only one loss. And the loss was because i had a lousy draw with all expensive minions. I played against other C´Thundecks, Warrior, dif. Mages and of course the evolving Shaman and hunter.

It can win against the allmost all decks (only one counterdeck until now see down). Yes your are right if you think; wow this guy has are really big mouth cause nobody know how the meta will develope or evolve or whatever (sorry, i learned english by myself through a dixionary and Movies/Games so be kind 😉 ).

But this deck had everything a HS-Player need: Early Game, midrange and a lategameplan. Plus enough control and drawelements like all priests. Last but not least enormous heal and somewhat like a finishercombo.

One of the problems with dragondecks are, that they have no burst and mostly no surprise. But with C´Thun the first problem is solved. I mix the both thematics and i figured out, that it is surprisingley good.

So, enough chitchat for infos. Now to the deck and how you play it right:

The early game is to buff your C´Thun and hold/control the board throug the C´Thuns Minions. There are Twilight Whelp, Beckoner of Evil, Disciple of C´Thun and Twilight Elder. With Power Word: Shield you start drawing cards abd let your minions live a little bit longer (like usual with a priest of course).

Don´t be afraid to let them die by trading, cause after the 3t round the taunt-minions come. Twilight Guardian and Crazed Worshipper do a good job until you have enough parts together to really take control over the game. Chillmaw is very good against Shaman and the new face weapon Warrior.

Then if its necessary you can heal with Twilight Darkmender who has perfect stats: 5 mana and you get 10 heal plus a 6/5 body. For me really a reason to play C´Thun.
And the other reason is Twin Emperor Vek´lor. How good this guy is you have for sure figured out by yourself ;-).

So, and now the time is come to kill youre opponent if he (and thats really often happen) not have allready quit. Youre minions normally should bring the opponent down to around 15 healthpoints until the 14/15th round. Sometimes your minions can bring the opponent down by themself.

If not, you have Alexstrazsa. She do a fine job and can be part of the combo. Cause if you let then C´Thun follow, mostly the opponent is down. If not -what can happen from time to time- then you still have Doomcaller to bring C´Thun again. And if that was not enough, you need to learn to play HS or curse on fortuna the b…. 😉

Ok, People, that´s the plan and now..

Some gameplay points:

-Hooded Acolyte should be always be behind a taunt to have a chance do to his job: kill smaller minions and make your C´Thun bigger.
-If possible, play Holy Nova in combination with Azure Drake
-Unlike earlyer HS-times don´t play Northshire cleric without drawing min. a card, cause you have just her and Power Word: Shield. So play it right. 😉
-against other C´Thun-decks you should have min. 4 minions out, so that the opponents C´Thun have enough targets. You have Shadow Word: Death. Hold it if possible.
-the most time let youre minions trade instead of wasting removal. Of course its not always possible, but try. Because about the thematic it has not much place for removal.
– The new Roguedecktyp with deathrattle is a counterdeck. So maybe you train with a friend to learn how to play against. Cause Sylvana with all the new tricks is really a heave foe for our deck.

-I also don´t find a place for Brann Bronzebeard who should be normally very good in a deck like this. If you really want to play Brann you can remove Hooded Acolyte for him but i tried it and it was to often not good. So on youre own risk.

It would be kind if you upvote so that other players can see my creation and at least a deck from me get a little bit “famous”. thx

May the C´Thun-Dragon be with you.

Peace
