Mulligans

Hello there!

This is an aggro paladin deck that uses divine shields and some other cards to ensure that your minions stay alife long enough to take out your opponent.

As you can see, there are 15 1-mana cost cards and you would probably end up clearing your entire hand, but then, this is when Divine Favor comes in handy. When you clear your entire hand, only to have that last divine favour to piss your opponent off and get back all your cards. Divine Favor is a 3-mana cost card and the value you can get from it is already good if you draw at least 2 cards for it will be similar to Arcane Intellect — except that, you will Are likely be able to get much more value from it. However, if your opponent only has 0 cards, Divine Favor would be entirely useless, therefore making it quite weak against decks like Zoolock. However, what this deck can do differently is its ability to trade very efficiently. There are many cards in this deck that can help in trading efficiently. For example, Argent Protector, using that on any minion is already very valuable, for example – if you have a Arcane Anomaly on the board and the opponent places down Flame Imp, you can use Argent Protector on your minion and trade super efficiently, clearing the enemy’s board and still having your own so you can aggro him to death.

Now, on to the mulligans.

If you are going first,

You should never want to have any secrets at all in your starting hand. However, if you are going second, you can try to get redemption so you can play it out with any of your minions. (E.g. Argent Squire, Selfless Hero), but you would normally not want to do this against heros who can deal one damage as they can take out your minions easily with their hero powers.

Generally, you are looking for Argent Squire, Selfless Hero, Arcane AnomalyAbusive Sergeant can be kept if you have an Argent Squire to facilitate value trading later on.

Argent Protector, Bilefin Tidehunter, Divine Strength  are all quite good if you already have a 1 drop. If you go second, you might even want to have a Rallying BladeDivine Favor is usually ok if you think you can clear your entire hand by turn 3.

Combos and Synergies

It is quite obvious that Rallying Blade works well with any minions with divine shield as it buffs them and you still get a weapon.

When going second, there is a combo that most classes can’t take out the next turn, and that is the Arcane Anomaly, Divine Strength. By placing that, you get a 3/5 on turn 1. On the opponent’s turn, with only 2 mana, they can’t really do anything much. Cards like Quick ShotFrostbolt can’t really do mich to it, however do look out for Sap as it would only take the Rogue 1 card to take out your 3-card combo.

Do note that Keeper of Uldaman not only can be used to render big enemy minions tinier and less mighty, but it can also be used to ‘buff’ your own minions by changing their health and attack to 3. This can be used to make a value trade into 2/3 etc.

Blessing of Kings can be used to buff any minion and try to keep it alife, i usually use this on minions that already have divine shield so that it can survive longer.

Steward of Darkshire and Bilefin Tidehunter is also a very good combo as it gives you two divine shielded minions and one of them is a taunt, which means that the oponent has to attack it twice to finally be able to attack anything else. And of course, needless to say, a Rallying Blade right after this would mean a 3/2 and 2/2 taunt with both of them having divine shield.

And at the end of all your battles, you can end the fight with Leeroy Jenkins and Blessing of Might. That is an astonishing 9 damage which can burst the opponent down.

However, not everyone is so rich and can craft a Leeroy Jenkins, he best subsituition that I have found so far is Truesilver Champion. As for those who don’t have LOE, Keeper of Uldaman can also be replaced with Dire Wolf Alpha. As for those without Karazhan, you can replace Arcane Anomaly with a Worgen Infiltrator. This isn’t the best and I would reccomend you to Karazhan.

So now that you have a cancerous deck to move you up the ladder, I wish you good luck on your adventures.

Note (25/8/2016): I got an 8 win streak with this deck.
