Community Decks of the Week – January 21st, 2016

Not only have there been some great deck submissions this week, they’ve included great information on how to play and get the most out of the decks. The meta might be getting a bit stale, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have some fun on the ladder!

If you haven’t already you can Register and create new decks with our Hearthstone Deck Builder.

These decks are chosen based on originality, popularity, and guide construction. Utilization of all aspects of the deck builder, e.g., Featured Image, Deck Description, and Mulligans makes you far more likely to be chosen.

Check out all of the Community’s decks here.

Note: These are not all-top tier decks. Some are listed because they have an interesting spin on a standard list, and some are listed just for bringing a unique idea to the table!

I’m always holding out hope that we’ll get a decent Hobgoblin deck, because it’s a cool card and the emote is hilarious. Dschmitt has compiled a deck that uses Hobgoblin, and pairs it with Brann Bronzebeard for some Battlecry shenanigans. Dschmitt has also included a guide explaining his choices and discussing matchups!

Thanks to Dschmitt for the submission!

Gates of Hell is back! We’re up to version 3.0 and the deck is looking more refined and well thought out. Rufas discusses many of his revisions and how he arrived at certain decisions!

Thanks to RufasGuts for the submission!

Shadow Priest has been getting a bit of attention lately. Senfglas has a fairly popular version that was recently pushed further by Brian Kibler’s Shadow Priest YouTube video. This version of the deck by DemonoidX features Molten Giant as a key include in the deck. This does make sense, because there are times where you’re going to eat a lot of damage due to the nature of the deck. Molten Giant gives you a good way to stop the bleeding, and go back on the offensive.

Thanks to DemoNoidX for the submission!

One mistake people tend to make sometimes is to build too hard around one concept. This has been the case with Bolster, people will just throw in every taunt they have and expect Bolster to carry them to victory. This can sometimes work, but it’s often more prudent to not force the synergy and instead build a solid deck around it. 16Socrates has built a deck that combines solid taunt minions with Bolster, but also implements strong Warrior elements to keep the deck strong.

Thanks to 16Socrates for the submission!

Speaking of Warrior, here’s a fun spin on Patron Warrior that includes Axe Flinger and Bouncing Blade! We know Midrange Patron Warrior is a strong deck, but getting to watch Bouncing Blade destroy boards and cause axes to fling at the face is much more satisfying.

Thanks to Gully1824 for the submission!
