Hadronox

Hadronox Card

Hadronox is a 9 Mana Cost Legendary Druid Minion Beast card from the Knights of the Frozen Throne set!

Card Text

Deathrattle: Summon your Taunt minions that died this game.

Flavor Text

The viziers of Azjol-Nerub released Hadronox as a last-ditch effort to hold back the Lich King. They did so by VERY carefully scooping him up in a LARGE newspaper and releasing him.

Hadronox Additional Information

  1. This will only work with cards that have a base Taunt ability. So, a card like Ancient of War that is given Taunt by it’s Choose effect will not be returned. However, Druid of the Claw which TRANSFORMS into a Taunt WILL return. [Source]

I’ve been loving this card is wild. Been doing what your are doing but I also had N’zoth in it to be even more annoying with bringing back large taunt minions. Literally nothing but massive ramp with some removal spells and its great.

Also dont forget to Mulch this guy also because its funny to bring back everything in one turn so there is less change of a poly, bounce, or silence.

In order to get the value you have to kill off your minion with 7 health, then hope your opponent doesn’t have a board clear. Also, it won’t bring your Ancient of War back.

It will bring the Lich king tho, and Nzoth will bring back Hadronox

On the plus side, it can bring back the Lich King—and you get the end of turn effect.

The Moment when u think over this Card and why blizzard make a Deathrattle 9 Mana Minion with so mush health … and realize when the Hero Card have the Heropower „trigger a Deathrattle“ or „Deatrattle Minions trigger there effect (like Umbra)“ !!!

this Card make so much sense !

    1. NO Taunt bec. you can Protect it with your Taunts !

    2. so much Health .. the Enemy will remove it so fast as possible to don’t let u trigger the effect twice or more !!

    3. or if the „Umbra“ effect is a thing this Minion can stay so long alive to the point were all the taunts are Dead and u can finally traiding this Minion off !!!

this Hero Card will be Amazing and make this Card a thing !!!

Blizzard in TGT: Hey guys look at this cool B O L S T E R thing it’s going to be a game changer for warriors right! And don’t forget about Beast Druid oh boy it’s going to dominate!

    Nothing happens

Three expansions later: Welcome to Karazhan! On your left you’ll find two OP beast Druid cards and over here is an anti aggro taunt tool (pls use my bolster). Have fun with your new meta-defining archetypes!!!

    Nothing happens

Two expansions pass…..: Alright Screw it Druid all your cards cost 0 and are beasts and warriors get to be RAGNAROS with their taunts just pls win for us (rip bolster)

    Only Taunt Warrior works

    Blizzard: Wait…HOLD THE PHONE… TAUNT … DRUID.

*slaps taunt on every Druid card*

Hey anything can happen, maybe taunt beast Druid will work and Ben Brode can sleep safe at night knowing his Druid beasts are in good hands. In any case looks like fun to play.

Interesting, but I wish it had ‘Taunt’ and read “Deathrattle: Summon your other Taunt minions that died this game.”

Yeah but with this you could just duplicate the card, wait for her to die and resummon her again with the second one and this would never stop

So run this, nzoth, and 2 infested tauren as only other deathrattles. Play this after tauren. Bring back 2 tauren. Play nzoth. Bring back this and 4 tauren. Kill this again. Full board tauren. Feel free to add soul of Foresy for more lols.

Theoretically, this is the ultimate Russian Nesting Doll plan with N’Zoth. In practice, this card is even slower than N’Zoth. N’Zoth got away with it since it could pull taunts, and it still wasn’t THAT slow. It created a board that needed to be dealt with immediately. This thing is easy to ignore, and with its high health, it’s going to be really hard for the druid to kill. I guess it + Naturalize is an option, but… that just sounds terrible.

And what taunts does Druid have that this thing will grab? Druid of the Claw, Shellshifter, Jade Behemoth, Dark Arakkoa, and Ironbark Protector… jesus, how many deck archetypes are trying to elbow their way in here? Jade, N’Zoth, C’Thun, Fandral… jesus, too many. You can kind of see why Stonehill Defender isn’t run in Druid (in part because half of its cards don’t count as taunts, but PS, despite this being an amazing taunt card it won’t ever go into a deck with this legend).

I think this card will never, ever work. Maybe Big Stuff Druid can do something with it, I dunno. Maybe this set will have more Druid taunts, but I kind of doubt that this will work.

If it was more aggressive stats it would be way better and easier to get value of since it would be easier to destroy. 8/2, 7/3, 6/4 or even 5/5 would be an improvement.

Though we haven’t seen all cards yet and there might be some cards that synnergizes with this so that it is easier to utilize. Umbra is an example from Un’Goro.

    July 27, 2017 at 2:07 pm

Complete junk – needed to either have taunt or for the effect to be battlecry for it to be remotely playable (and even then probably too slow).

  12. RV
    July 27, 2017 at 10:58 am

Ehhh…Too slow. Maybe if Druids get better Taunts but even then.

I guess I could see this being a thing if you set it up with Taunt, but that’s a really dumb combo.

That, and Taunts aren’t really popular in Druids right now. Best you’ll probably summon with this is a Primordial Drake, and that’s without it’s Battlecry…the main reason why people play Primordial.

  13. Baran613
    July 27, 2017 at 10:23 am

This card imo looks really bad on first glance because its a 9 mana 3/7 that does nothing when it comes into play but to make this card work, you need to play a lot of taunts so you wont die as easy to aggro as some people say and in the slower games where the meta is probably going with this expansion, this card will spawn an entire new deck for druid and we still have to see a lot of cards so definitely one of the more exciting cards to see ( you can also have 7 taunt minions on the board instead of 6 with N’zoth because this minion has to die first so more value )

  14. Wywern
    July 27, 2017 at 10:10 am

I feel a lot of people are really underestimating this card. The effect itself might even be better than N’Zoth’s (minus the battlecry) since big, playable taunts are a lot easier to find than big deathrattle minions. The biggest deathrattle minions would probably be Tirion and Cairne, both of which are legendaries. Taunts on the other hand come in much bigger sizes at lower rarities. Primordial drake, dark arakkoa, druid of the claw, twin emperors and infested tauren. To top it all off, this minion is resurrected by N’Zoth, giving you an insane effect with just 2 cards. If any kind of control druid is a thing, this will most likely be in that.

  15. Coldplay3R
    July 27, 2017 at 8:44 am

decent card. if it had taunt was 4.5-5/5. Without that 9 mana for a hard to kill minion for the awesome effect is kind of slow. Will only see play in some kind of N’zoth deck.

  16. Chimborazo
    July 27, 2017 at 8:26 am

People who are not rating this eith 5 stars have clearly never played N’Zoth control decks in Wild. This is an additional round of board flood that comes back to make the N’Zoth board immune to AoE because it will just flood again.

If you argument is “bad stats, too slow”, go play Control mirrors in Wild (happens more often than people think).

    • Chimborazo
      July 27, 2017 at 8:28 am

Pretty sure it brings back taunts from Choose One effects, otherwise it’s a bad card.

    • SkywardStryk
      July 27, 2017 at 9:04 am

Yeah that’s because not many people play or care about wild. I think this card will be viable when they release more combo cards in the upcoming expansion(s), but as it currently stands it doesn’t have a place in standard meta.

      • Chimborazo
        July 27, 2017 at 10:57 am

N’Zoth is still in Standard as far as I recall. It’s very strong and therefore aleays viable, the only question whether to plat it or not is how fast the meta is.

  17. Brann
    July 27, 2017 at 7:16 am

+ it’s a beast and druids have cards to support this

Like Warden and the taunt druid spell

So as long as you can avoid Hex and Polly effects this could easily end up being your win condition in slower matches

If it gets silenced N’Zoth still rezes it

  18. Brann
    July 27, 2017 at 7:06 am

I think a lot of people are seeing this card the wrong way, it’s actually really good

Yes it’s a 9 manna 3-7 deathrattle and it’s hard to kill and gets it’s effect, and it can be silenced/ hexed, yes it’s slow

But it also gets rezzed by N’zoth

As long as you don’t play it until after hexs/Polly’s are used, this card can help seal the game against control decks in slower matchups, the value from it alone is insane

If you can make this slow card work in your deck , with N’zoth this could seriously give other control decks a good run for their money

  19. Bighamer
    July 27, 2017 at 7:04 am

Would be better If counted taunts that aren’t originaly taunt but that you gave taunt

  20. Helioshade
    July 27, 2017 at 6:48 am

Would be better with Taunt. But the interaction might be bugged. Maybe make the text “Taunt, Deathrattle: Summon your OTHER Taunt minions that died this game” and it’d be better imo. Because as it stands, every opponent is incentivized NOT to kill it off unless they have a board wipe to follow up (which ALSO puts the Druid at a disadvantage). Idk, I guess this card has synergy with N’Zoth plus a bunch of taunts like Deathlord and Sludge Belcher (summoning both the Belcher and the Ooze), because you can summon your taunts, and after they get through kill of your Hadronox for another wall of taunts. Plus with cards like Sunfury Protector and Defender of Argus, you can taunt your Hadronox (won’t resummon itself, but will make your opponent have to deal with it

And I can only imagine the hilarious Gnomeregan Infantry x2 -> Hadranox -> a turn stall (Gnomeregans + Hadronox die, fueling the next Hadronox) -> N’Zoth to resummon Hadronox -> Naturalize Hadronox -> Double Savage Roar with 7 1/4 Charges lol

    • Helioshade
      July 27, 2017 at 6:52 am

Miscounted; rip. Last Hadranox will only summon 4 charges. Still 5×4+3 (Hadronox attack BEFORE Savage roar) + 4 from face (5 w/ Hero Power) = 27 (28) to face

  21. Ephemeral
    July 27, 2017 at 6:35 am

Just give this beauty Taunt, and watch her reanimate herself along with all taunt minions, every time she dies 🙂

    • Max Hohmann
      July 27, 2017 at 6:39 am

I don’t think that Works like that :/
Only minions that have already Taunt will be coming back

That means ancient of war will also Not Come back :/

      • Ephemeral
        July 27, 2017 at 6:59 am

I think it works the same way if you silence tyrion, Nzoth will not reanimate him cause he was no longer deathrattle minion the moment he died

        • Brann
          July 27, 2017 at 7:09 am

Not true silenced death rattles come back with N’zoth

  22. davidus707
    July 27, 2017 at 6:19 am

This is horrible, the idea is nice and fits with the ramp and big taunts style of druid, that i love. But is too weak. I wonder why its not a battlecry or at least untargetbale for spells or cant be silenced. Or even taunt. Or even stats swapped. 1 star will never see play. Sad cause the concept is cool

    • Max Hohmann
      July 27, 2017 at 6:42 am

      When Its have taunt
U can found a nother One of this cool guys and make a unbreakable Board …
And battlecry is to OP 😀
And u dont know ^^ Maybe its Become sup. Cards

  23. AgentMango
    July 27, 2017 at 6:07 am

Just imagine bringing this back with N’zoth…

  24. Rusty
    July 27, 2017 at 5:40 am

Overrated. You want it’s death rattle to trigger when you’re behind on board, but given the weak stats and high cost you’ll get killed the turn you play it. 9 mana 3/7.

    • Anton Wilzewski
      July 27, 2017 at 9:51 am

You know that there is this one Druid spell for one mana to kill a minion and your opponent draws two cards. Insane combo against control or aggro instantly.

      • Rusty
        July 27, 2017 at 12:31 pm

Mmmm true, but that supposes you can get there in the first place against aggro… still feel that a 9 drop with no immediate impact is really bad. Would be exciting to see a new Druid archetype though.

        • Krok
          July 27, 2017 at 10:04 pm

I would imagine it will be semi easy to get there against agro considering you are playing minions that directly counter agro to build this thing up. Taunts.

  25. CD001
    July 27, 2017 at 5:31 am

Ignoring this giant Limbo-spid could actually be a bad idea … it’s a Druid card and a Beast. That means the turn after it hits the board, if ignored, the Druid can drop Mark of the Wild (to 5/9 Taunt) and Menagerie Warden.

That could easily be a T7 > T8 move with Innervate.

… however, playing it that early limits the number of Taunt creatures already in your graveyard – the later it’s played the stronger it becomes.

I can’t really think of a good Druid archetype to slot this into right now though – it’s really slow. Might be worth a shot with Jungle Giants or in Wild with the Aviana > Kun combo… maybe.

  26. OhlienUFZ
    July 27, 2017 at 5:29 am

Can Hadronox summon C’Thun if you give it taunt? The give C’Thun taunt effect is permanent.

    • AgentMango
      July 27, 2017 at 6:05 am

That would be really cool, but I think that we would have to experiment with that ourself. Great idea though.

      • AgentMango
        July 27, 2017 at 6:19 am

Nevermind. It WILL NOT bring back minions that are given taunt. They have to have it as a base stat. So if you give your C’thun taunt, it WILL NOT be brought back by Hadronox.

Turn 10. Play this and nnaturalized own minion

  28. Th0massn
    July 27, 2017 at 4:13 am

Not good at all cards like these have been brought out before and always fallen flat on their face and I don’t see how it could be any different this time

3/10 situationally good against some decks that dont run hex, silence, polymorph, devolve ect.

    • Anton Wilzewski
      July 27, 2017 at 9:53 am

You have to combo this card the Druid spell that cost 1 mana to kill animism and your opponent draws two cards. Than its instant and you don’t have to worry about it. And it can still be revived by nzoth.

  29. Playwright
    July 27, 2017 at 2:43 am

Although this card is slow I think that you will probably be able to play it if you draw it. You will either play this in a deathrattle deck for an easy way to trigger, or in a taunt deck, where you will have plenty of time to trigger it. Yes it an be silenced, but silence are still rather uncommon, both in how many cards can do it and how often they are played in the meta, and I doubt we will see a sudden influx of them since we barely saw an increase during Journey to Un’Goro.

  30. Advocaat
    July 27, 2017 at 2:20 am

If it doesn’t get silenced or transformed, you can use Crazed Alchemist next turn. 7/3 cannot be ignored. Another option is Defender of Argus but it’s slower. Anyway, you have to help it somehow, otherwise this deathrattle will never go off.

    • Funkdat
      July 27, 2017 at 4:14 am

It is a 3/7, not a 7/3. It can be ignored.

      guy….. wild

    • Foodbeard
      July 28, 2017 at 8:23 pm

The more minions you put in your deck for Hadronox to rez, the less likely you are to get him with Barnes.

Grabbing a taunt with Barnes and then getting to rez it later makes Hadronox slightly better. Doesn’t solve the main problem of Hadronox being very very slow.

      Just sayin’.

  32. SHWC

This’s gonna be a card that I wanna build around and try it out

  33. GerritDeMan
    July 27, 2017 at 1:13 am

Even though it’s really slow, umbra + this + prince taldaram + n’zoth can all be pretty vicious combos, especially if people manage to make jungle giants work (although not having 3-drops probably hurts that deck quite a bit). This card is probably way too slow to see play in competitive decks but I am excited to try out some cool combos.

  34. Regger
    July 27, 2017 at 12:54 am

Only deck I can see this card is a realy greedy ramp druid …has no impact in all other teams cause it’s just to slow

  35. MM
    July 27, 2017 at 12:26 am

battlecry would be too good, with deathrattle is useless

    • David
      July 27, 2017 at 12:34 am

      • Semurobo
        July 27, 2017 at 12:43 am

Try activating the deathrattle of a 3/7.
Against a Control Deck, it will be transformed or silenced or activated and followed up by a board clear.
Against Aggro, they will simply ignore it and Go face, while their Minions will be so small that you will take at least 2 or 3 turns to kill it off.

        • Krok
          July 27, 2017 at 10:10 pm

They can’t ignore the taunts you’re throwing out to set the deathrattle up though.

  36. QuantumVodka
    July 27, 2017 at 12:17 am

On its own this card is clearly too slow unless you get very lucky. However, there are some combos that make this potentially a win condition. In wil

    • Sober667
      July 27, 2017 at 12:27 am

Its deathrattle so it works with Nzoth

    • QuantumVodka
      July 27, 2017 at 12:33 am

*in wild combo with aviana and spiritsinger umbra is pretty strong, in standard you would need to play double innervate or complete the druid quest to play it with spiritsinger. Perhaps there will be other cards to support this later on too.

  37. DatMageDoe
    July 26, 2017 at 11:59 pm

So slow it’s pathetic. It presents no immediate threat, no immediate impact on the board state, and the stat value is dreadful (you’re paying 9 mana for a 3/7). It’s low attack and high health, exactly what you don’t want out of a Deathrattle minion with a powerful effect, and most decks will just ignore it.

Easy 1/5. Might make some good meme decks though.

  38. User27
    July 26, 2017 at 11:40 pm

Wow this is legit almost broken as n’zoth! The only thing that makes it slightly weaker is that it’s a deathrattle so can be silenced, hexed or polymorphed and takes an extra turn to activate but druid taunts are really strong so I can definately see this becoming popular.

    • Piterno
      July 27, 2017 at 1:20 am

      5 words.
      9 mana for 10 stats.
Also, it has 7 health with that deathrattle; That makes it really difficult to get rid of. It also doesn’t have taunt so the opponent can just ignore it and it wastes your turn 9.

This would be a good card if it was a 9 mana for a 7/3. Even better would be a 9 mana 1/1. This doesn’t need to have a threatening body, the deathrattle is what matters.

  39. Snakeeyes
    July 26, 2017 at 11:23 pm

We’ll get to see lot more of Ironbeak Owl, Spellbreaker and Defias Cleaner in upcoming decks i can tell 🙂

    Easily silenced

  41. Njuns
    July 26, 2017 at 11:11 pm

Idea is good but the deathrattle makes it too slow, especially at 9 mana with no taunt

  42. Sine
    July 26, 2017 at 11:10 pm

Will Druid minions with Transform also be brought back? 4/6 bears? I suppose so, because they transformed and changed into a card with Taunt.
Ancient of war wouldn’t work then

If you want to get really gready, play this get all your taunts back and then get it with nzoth back. 6 mana copy beasts guy should also work pretty well

They try again to make Beast Druid viable

    • Tinyfin
      July 27, 2017 at 4:22 am

Nope, they Aren’t “Taunt” Minions, they are “choose one”. The only real Taunt that Druid has is the 8/8 and the 3/6 elephant Jade.
Or they are releasing a bunch of Druid Taunt or this card is just awfull.

      • Krok
        July 27, 2017 at 10:13 pm

Druid of the claw is a taunt minion so it will be brought back. Same as shell shifter. Ancient of war will not however.

      • Kenchilada
        July 29, 2017 at 9:26 pm

Druid of the Claw and Shellshifter transform into their taunts instead of gaining stats. If you have an Ancient of War sapped, playing it again will activate the choose one.
Playing a sapped Druid of the Claw, however, will not trigger the choose one as it already transformed.
It doesn’t say transform on Druid of the Claw which is pretty stupid, considering the other cards (Ancient of War) have the same text with different effects.
        Overall here’s my review:
        Druid: 1/5
Druid should be put into Hall of Fame

Stats too defensive for such a powerful deathrattle, 3.5/10.

Seriously, this card would be insane if they swap its Attack and Health.

    • DyingHawk
      July 27, 2017 at 4:57 am

you can fix the stats by playing a ticking abomination the turn before or a few turns before and then trading it away when this drops, unfortunately, that makes the deck awful with N’zoth.

worst art in hearthstone history. nice card though
