Hello, everyone! I have an exciting announcement to make today: Hearthstone Top Decks has been acquired by the ZAM Network!
With this acquisition, we are going to be adding even more content to and increasing development of Hearthstone Top Decks. Not only will you be getting more of the same great updates, but going forward, the added resources will help us make sure that everything is updated even faster and have more in-depth content and guides!
I’m going to get a bit sappy now…
I want to thank all of the users and fans that have stuck with the website over the years. Your support has allowed me to work on the site full-time and has now given us the opportunity to take the site to the next level! Big thank you to the people who have reached out to me via the contact form with love and support. Reading those emails helped reinforce my level of dedication to the site and got me through some of the lows.
Thanks to TacoRocco for being the first person to ever really reach out to me and who illustrated the importance of opening up more. I’d also like to thank Appa, Cinder, Kenny, and RidiculousHat from the Coin Concede podcast for their support and who made me feel like I belonged in the community.
Thanks to my brother who contributed heavily to developing the Deck Builder and who now carries me in Fortnite.
Thanks to Blizzard for creating such a great game!
And finally, I want to thank my wife who is absolutely the most important person in my life. She has been integral in the site’s success and has been nothing but supportive day in and day out as I put in all of the hours of adding content, developing, and the late nights during expansion times. Without her none of this would have been possible, and I wouldn’t be anywhere close to where I am today.
The sap has commenced; read on for further details!
If you didn’t know, ZAM Network also owns the Hearthstone site: Hearthhead. With the acquisition we will be pooling our resources and looking to create the best Hearthstone sites on the web. With that, I would like to introduce Dillon Skiffington who has been running Hearthhead and oversees some of ZAM’s websites!
Thanks for the introduction Evident!
As he said, I work at Zam Network and have spent the last two years in charge of Hearthhead. Those of you who frequent it know exactly how much work we’ve spent making it a site that people want to use. One of the areas we really nailed was our guide coverage and articles covering all facets of Hearthstone. That’s one of the reasons I’m so excited to now be working on Top Decks. My team, now our team, genuinely creates fantastic content and I’m very glad that their hard work will now be seen by even more eyes. Of all people, I certainly know they deserve it.
You’ve already seen some of the progress that has been made. Stonekeep has returned to the site, something keen eyed folks in the community have noticed. That obviously has its benefits, as he’s one of the hardest working Hearthstone writers out there, but the Hearthhead freelance team had already grown to nearly ten members. All of those resources have now moved over to Top Decks and we’re committed to making it the best Hearthstone website out there.
We’ve already added Class Overviews and Guides for all nine classes that Hearthstone offers, a bundle of New Player Guides (Counting Cards and Making Reads, Optimizing Trade & Playing on Curve, etc.) , and we’re already making fast progress on updating everything for the latest patch. Just last week we also launched two new guides and updated four others for the post-nerf meta.
We’re also expanding the website’s reach. We’ve already started adding dedicated Wild guides (Cubelock & Malygos Druid) for some of the most popular archetypes and we’re continuing to work behind the scenes at delivering resources for the Arena players out there.
All of this is just the beginning, of course, there’s so much more we want to add to the site. Not the least of which is finally getting golden card art up on card pages.
Again, we’re incredibly excited to take Hearthstone Top Decks to the next level with the resources we’re able to provide. Evident isn’t going anywhere and he’s still going to be playing a major role in both Top Decks’ day to day operation and long term planning.
I hope you’ll continue to support the site and welcome all of us newcomers as we start aiming for greater heights.
