Arena Balance Update Hotfix – Micro-adjustments to Bring Classes Closer to 50% Win Rate

Blizzard released a server-side hotfix earlier today. It targets Arena win rates – classes should now be closer to 50%. While they didn’t give any specifics, it’s usually done through a series of micro-adjustments – appearance rate for cards that are too strong are brought down, which means that an average deck from that class will be slightly weaker.

In this particular hotfix, Blizzard tried to bring down win-rate of Demon Hunter, Paladin, Shaman and Warlock, leave Warrior intact, and buff Druid, Hunter, Mage, Priest and Rogue. Keep in mind that nothing will happen to your current decks, which means that you might need a couple of days to see the effect of those changes (since many people already have a deck drafted and those obviously won’t be affected).

Hey everyone,

We’re in the process of deploying a small server-side hotfix that will update the appearance rate of cards in Arena to ensure class balance remains close to the ideal 50% win-rate. Specifically, the win-rate of Demon Hunter, Paladin, Shaman, and Warlock should now be decreased. The win-rate of Druid, Hunter, Mage, Priest, and Rogue should now be increased. The win-rate of Warrior should be roughly the same as before.
