Tavern Pass – yes, it will be valid all the way throughout Darkmoon Faire expansion! So if you want to buy it, it’s better to do it as soon as possible so you don’t miss on the extra XP.

But don’t buy Battlegrounds Perks by mistake (they were called Tavern Pass previously) – they will need to be re-bought after expansion launch.

Right now – there isn’t one. They just help you track how many achievements you’ve completed, and you can compare them to other people’s.

I hope that in the future there will be some extra rewards tied to them. E.g. for getting to 10k / 20k etc. achievement points you get some cosmetic rewards.

It was confirmed that it’s a bug. That’s a relief – every slower deck would run 2x Amalgam and N’Zoth then, because that’s really OP combo for such a small package 😀

I think that you can hold 3? When you have 0-2 Quests, there’s a “New Quest in X hours” message, it doesn’t appear when you have 3. The last slot seems to be reserved for Legendary Quests, but of course, I’m not 100% sure yet since the system is brand new. I’ll investigate and update the guide accordingly.

Edit: I changed Daily to Weekly where it was wrong, but I think that “the Hearthstone’s progression system” is fine, because “the” doesn’t refer to Hearthstone, but to progression system. It sounds good to me. But I’m not a native speaker so I’m not 100% sure.

It was already announced that they will be separate. And I think it makes sense – Tavern Pass gives you cosmetics like Hero portraits and Coins, so BG players probably wouldn’t be interested in them. On the other hand, someone who only plays Constructed and wants those cosmetics might not be interested in BG perks. So bundling them together would be clunky.

I think that they should be a bit cheaper, though.

BUT they’ve confirmed that we’ll get a new format, so it should reset with expansion’s release on 17th. I’ll post a reminder a couple days before so people know that they can get free ticket 🙂

That’s not how the card works. It doesn’t say “At the start of your turn”, it’s “on your turn”. You will gain +2 Attack and Windfury immediately when you play this card.

I’m not so sure about Arena. Last expansion they didn’t change the format at all, but kept it as Standard, just added a new expansion without a reset. If they don’t change the format again, just add Darkmoon to the pool, you won’t get a ticket back, you will just have an active run.

And if they will change it after all, it would probably happen at launch. They should announce sets available in Arena in tomorrow’s patch, though!

I stand by lots of those ratings, by the way. Yes, I was clearly wrong about cards like Pen Flinger or Broomstick, but many of those cards I rated highly (like Fireheart, Omu, Wildclaw, Ace Hunter Kreen or even Reaper’s Scythe) are great, they just didn’t have time to shine yet.

I admit that I overrated some of the cards too, I would change my ratings for stuff like Felosophy, Glide, Warlock Soul Fragment package (for my defense, DH’s turned out to be great and Warlock still has some chance). Or Overwhelm, I don’t know why I gave it 8/10 in retrospective.

And keep in mind that many of those cards were revealed before their respective synergy cards got shown. For example, when Steeldancer was revealed, neither Self-Sharpening Sword, nor Krastinov were revealed. Ideally I would wait with the reviews until after the entire set is revealed, but no way I would have enough time to cover everything then.

Given all the circumstances, I’m happy with my Scholo reviews! I identified most of the synergies, even on most of the cards that I rated low, but turned out to be good (e.g. Pen Flinger – I talked about synergy with Libram Paladin, but I clearly underestimated the power of repeated pings).

I would love to get back to my reviews like 2 months into the expansion to see how correct / wrong I was about them, but I never have enough time to do it :/

Extra note: As someone reminded me on Twitter, Shaman should get more weapon / attacking with Hero support this expansion. Blizzard confirmed earlier that the class will get “Enhancement” archetype (which was a melee spec in WoW).
