Tavern Brawl Decorating Stormwind

This week’s Tavern Brawl is Decorating Stormwind! This is a single-player Tavern Brawl where you look to get a high score. To “win” and gain your pack for the week you need to deal 30 damage to the City of Stormwind’s face which apparently starts the party. After that you can continue to play and gain a high score.

  • City of Stormwind’s Hero Power, Party Barracks, will play automatically as long as it has enough mana. The Hero Power will randomly generate either Happy Partygoer or Ornery Partygoer.
  • Starting on turn three, City of Stormwind’s Weapon Party Armory will gain +1 attack which buffs the minions Happy Partygoer and Ornery Partygoer.
  • You can destroy the Party Armory weapon and it does reduce in attack. It will respawn as a 0/1 at the end of the next turn. The following turn it seems like the weapon will get +2 or +3, but after that it’s back to +1 a turn.

These are some of the possible cards that City of Stormwind will play.

Reward: You get a Journey to Un’Goro pack for completing this Tavern Brawl.

Decorating Stormwind Deck Lists

My first game I just threw together a quick Warlock Zoo list (w/Acidic Swamp Ooze) and that was a pretty easy way to just get the pack. If you have a deck that posted a very high score I can list it below if you post it via our deck builder (leave a comment with the link on this post).

I did over 100 million damage to him pretty easy. Just run lore walker cho and Devine strength. Also it helps to run a couple faceless and silences but don’t cast any silences unless his hand is full. Btw there is a cap to how high you can buff a minion. At some point (to hard to see the exact number) the next buff you put on the minion will kill the minion. I killed a few just in one game lol.

Seems to top out at 100 yup – did a Priest with Kel’thuzad (works around Enter the Colosseum as long as he’s your highest attack minion), a couple of Annoy-o-trons, every silence card at my disposal and a Flying Machine plus Divine Spirit and Inner Fire (32 damage a turn).

Basically try and clog his board with 0/x minions by silencing all the taunts and Party Banners, drop Kel’Thuzad and an Annoy-o-Tron and hope that he doesn’t silence it before you can get the Flying Machine combo.

The AI isn’t quite as dumb as it was last time this brawl came around – previously he wouldn’t even attack if you had Kel’Thuzad + a taunt minion.

I used Silenced druid similar to the one posted but a few different key cards that helped me cap at 100. One of them was Savage Roar when I had about 4-5 minions on the board I used it and basically it gave me additional 10-12 damage (counting you attacking their face) I also have a lot of cards that reduces weapon durability that helps when timed properly. I think I got lucky cause he never used Enter the Colosseum on me. And I managed to play around his Mind Control Tech by making sure I only have around 3 minions on the board at all time until he used that card. I added Cenarius for the +2/2 on the board (when I have 4-5minions) but I got for 2/2 taunt when I need minions

Wanted to do Cho Show Divine Spirit + Inner Fire, but they put in Silence and Execute ._.

Harder to abuse the AI now, but I suspect you can still do Exodia Mage or roll the dice with Coldarra Drake in Hero Power Priest if you want the absolute maximum damage possible. Priest has plenty of tools to stall the game with Mass Dispel, Silence, and weapon destruction in Acidic Swamp Ooze, Toxic Sewer Ooze, Bloodsail Corsair, and Harrison Jones. Mages have plenty of Freeze spells and effects as well as dealing 3x the damage of the Coldarra combo, plus is more reliable than having to deal with RNG possibly giving you any other Mage card besides Coldarra while having the problem of spamming Fireballs leading to a crashed client…

It looks like they added some new details to an already existing map. Looks like something to do with Year of the Mammoth.
