Soursurfer was nice enough to allow us to share his new Flood Paladin deck! You can check him out on Twitter: @soursurferHS. The deck looks to get out a lot of minions and keep control of the board. Murloc Knight is starting to look like a solid card, and getting it out on a turn six with a Hero Power can be a strong turn. You have your standard Muster for Battle and Quartermaster combo, but due to all the token minion synergy, Solemn Vigil finds a place as a card that can help you draw for cheap.

You can read Soursurfer’s guide for this deck on Reddit.

I just happen to have Bolvar Fordragon so I swapped him for the 2nd quartermaster. Haven’t played many games so can’t say much about this card. What I think is that it can be pretty useless if you draw it in late game, and can get BGHed easily. What are your thoughts guys?

This deck is so much fun! I didn’t have a second quarter master (I know, it’s pretty key) so I put in a Seal of Champions. The burst makes for great takeout of larger enemies and still leaves behind a threatening body and functions much like Blessings of Kings for burst. It also buffs the Ooze as well so a turn 5 2x 4/2 divine shield can be pretty potent (I haven’t used it that early that way yet).

I play a similar deck and I would add knife jugglers. Playing it with Muster For Battle is 3 damage on the spot, and with all the summons this deck does, knife jugglers do a lot of work here. Sword of Justice also combos well here.

Definitely considered Knife Jugglers but couldn’t find room — there’s definitely a place for them though if you can. I think Sword of Justice is too slow, personally. There’s never a good time to take that tempo hit.

Really excited to try this deck! Is there a substitution for the second quarter master? I piloted sky golem or avenge maybe?

Loatheb would be the best option for 2nd Quartermaster.

      Harrison Jones

The Ooze is pretty important as the double Kings gets a lot more suspect without. The closest you can get is probably Haunted Creeper. If you don’t have any Naxx, Knife Juggler works ok too.

its a shame the idea does not rly work, ive built such a deck the first day after the release of tgt, its mostly useless vs aggro (face hunter for example) and taunts…. oh and your inspire creeps dont last long enough to bring value on the board.

Face Hunter can indeed be tough (Argus is the MVP of the matchup) but I found great success against all other kinds of aggro. Make sure you’re not throwing out your Inspire minions as a tempo drop unless you’re certain they will stick — Murloc Knight is basically a 6-drop in this deck as you should have enough plays in the meantime anyway. Just for some credence, I went from 3 to Legend with this deck.

this deck needs Fencing Coach… to give you that free hero power to get value out the Inspire minion like Silver Hand Regent… and more importantly Murloc Knight.

I think he’s too big a tempo hit for this particular deck — his body is really weak, and there’s only 4 Inspire minions total. Murloc Knight is effectively treated like a 6-drop in this deck anyway since there are so many other 4’s.
