The release date of the new expansion Whispers of the Old Gods and the new formats of Wild and Standard have been said to be coming late April or Early May. We may have just gotten a confirmation of the date they are currently trying to make. If you open up your Battle.net App and attempt to purchase Curse of Naxxramas in the Shop area, this screen will show up (thanks to Reddit for the tip):
April 26th, 2016 fits their timeline and makes sense based on most video game release dates. So what does this mean if you haven’t purchased Curse of Naxxramas yet? Once the new Formats launch, you will no longer be able to purchase it with in-game gold or cash:
You will be able to purchase Adventures that are part of the current Standard format normally. Adventures that are not part of Standard will no longer be available for purchase. If you already own at least one wing of such an Adventure, you’ll have the option to unlock the remaining wings using in-game gold. [Source]
As you can see, the one caveat is that if you have purchased at least one wing you can still unlock the rest of the adventure with gold. So, it would be in your best interest to purchase the first wing if you want to have access to it at some point. This is likely much cheaper than having to craft some of the Curse of Naxxramas cards in the future.
