First lets be clear a GREAT tier 1 or 2 decks can climb from rank 20 all the way to legend mid season / expansion to legend during the META it is played in. (the only decks that should be crafted or encouraged to craft for competitive ladder)

He got top 40 this ”month” IE 2-3 days of the new expansion on a fresh reset, which is the easiest time for a skilled player to get legend inside of 30 ish wins FROM! rank 10 while only a few players are in legend. This doesn’t show skill, which in hearthstone is consistency not a small rush of stolen wins. But we already know this wasn’t a fresh month so I call BS here.

He got top 40 the last entire expansion DOMINATED by pirate warrior and quest rogue (which as I state FOR A FACT! DID NOT HAPPEN! PERIOD NO ARGUMENTS CUT THE BS IT DID NOT HAPPEN!!
(I do not need to be a rank 1 legend to prove statistically that it DID NOT HAPPEN.)

He got top 40 during either cycle playing an actual tier 1 or VERY STRONG tier 2 deck which is what is needed to get high legend (if you don’t agree with this I can no longer debate with your stupidity) and then you caught him playing it casually in legend where hes safe from loosing his legend status.

In every scenario HE DID NOT play the deck on a consistent basis to get legend AND ONLY that deck.

In no part have I blamed ‘others’, I have no idea why you pulled that from your arse? nor did I ‘blame’ the META as you say. I merely stated the FACT that quest mage gets DESTROYED! by pirate warrior and quest rogue the strongest and most widely played 2 decks played in the past 3 months FACT! (quest rogue had a sub 50% win rate but it was still massively represented)

I’ve played on EU since I started playing Hearthstone over a year ago, and that aside EU or not pirate warrior and quest rogue have been rampant for the last 3 months REGARDLESS OF REGION! and If you disagree with this FACT, I’m left to question If you actually played Hearthstone at all the last 3 months (6 months for Pirate Warrior).

As I said take 12 k dust craft the deck and try win 5 out of 10 games in either the current or previous META and maybe you will see the statistics for yourself. Id love to see proof that I am wrong on this.

I’m not a rank 1 legend but I’ve been legend several times, most recently with burn control mage. In fact I should also mention I ONLY play mage and played HUNDREDS of quest mage.

Since the start of Knights of The Frozen Throne I’ve played about 80 quest mage games (that is a LOT in 3 days) So I don’t need to prove to an unknown that I know the mage class its viable competitive decks, match ups and statistics to a decent degree. OFC this is all based on my saying so but if you require proof add me on EU Jonny171.

You saying I’m a bad player is your counter ‘argument’ I use the term loosely, based on my statistical analysis and personal experience that OTK quest mage isn’t viable on ladder and that I called you out on your BS by trying to convince new players that crafting an OTK deck can some how lead them to legend.

The one thing you said that actually made sense, YES OTK Quest mage is hard to play and requires a lot of thought, a lot more than just ‘finish quest, play combo, win’. I’ve seen countless games lost from miss plays off which your allowed so few IF ANY and its so easy to do. I do it myself on occasion.

Ok. Ill be the first to admit my presentation in my arguments leads a lot to be desired. I’m blunt and to the point, some might say I’m a bit of a c**t. But I’m genuine and always look to do the right thing for the sake of fairness. It annoys me when I see lies or miss information spread with no legitimate back up whatsoever. In a pirate warrior, quest rogue meta there is ZERO!!! and i MEAN ZERO!!!! chance a player legitimately played OTK quest mage to legend FACT. it is STATISTICALLY impossible he didn’t go against any while ‘climbing to legend 40’ and maintained his rank ONLY playing quest mage its a HORRIBLY inconsistent deck.

Ive played hundreds of games with several variants, I’m not a pro but I know my deck and the failures in it. Take 12 k dust and get to ANY rank legend playing it.

Stop spreading your miss information because new players will not have any idea how wrong you are.

Don’t pander to bad players that complain about nerfing stuff, when they have no idea. There has recently arisen 2 new OTK no counter play decks on classes that already had SEVERAL very strong archetypes. These decks have extremely good board control with solid minions and combos that don’t sacrifice the OTK consistency.

The cost of completing the quest is to say the least INSANE on its own and the specific and DEAD CARDS until that SPECIFIC point in the game are very numerous. Mage has no good mid range minions and VERY few ‘unfair’ board swings. Removal isn’t a swing and rarely can you play a quest piece after doing so.

Id gladly give these noobs 12k dust to see them fail at playing ‘cancer’ mage. In fact I hate that the only viable ladder! (not tournament) mage decks are burn mage and an inconsistent secret mage
