Thalnos is there mainly to activate the claws and buff maelstrom. The closest on curve replacement would be Kobold Geomancer. If you’re more worried about the cycle use Loot Hoarder. Azure Drake will give you both effects and a better body, but costs 5.

I’ve been having a lot of success with Bear Trap. In my experience the first traps my opponent tests for are Freezing and Explosive. They do this by attacking with a low cost low attack minion. Then the bear pops and they have to waste their high attack minion killing him. Also, on a bad mulligan it gives you something to put out just to have a minion on the field.

What do you all think about taking out the Bog Creepers and adding Blood of the Ancient One. I know it’s a bad card but if any deck can make it work it’s this one (and rez priest) and the one time it did work would be spectacular!

I believe it’s because those 2 have the least impact on your win conditions. The deck’s primary win condition comes from spell damage, and while those cards do help, Malygos is strong enough without them. The deck’s other outs are Yogg and Fandral shenanigans which they contribute the least to imo.

I’m not crazy about the Curator in this list. What if you’ve already drawn Onxyia by turn 7? Then you’ve just paid 7 mana to play a 4\6 taunt and draw 1 card. I would cut Curator for your Cenarius and add Nourish in place of Onxyia. I think beast druid is going to be strong enough on its own without having to force some gimmick into it.

The deck has to curve out to have a chance to win. With that in mind, the only cards I keep are Finley, First Mate, and Axe. I guess on coin you could consider keeping Upgrade and Deckhand if you have both. If you have the First Mate you’re probably safe keeping any of the pirates. As far as Finley goes I would rank the powers: 1) warlock 2) rogue 3) hunter.

Maybe pacman or qbert.

I think this would be a good deck to slot Barnes into. The only minion that you’re not happy to pull is Yogg.

Hunter really needs some kind of card draw. For this deck im thinking maybe you could take out an invested wolf and put in a cult master. He’d have good synergy with unleash and the snake trap.

I like snipe. I think it’s very underrated and can really surprise people because they don’t test for it.
