The Replicator-inator Temporarily Banned in Standard & Wild

The Replicator-inator, a Legendary card from Whizbang’s Workshop mini-set, has been temporarily banned in Constructed.

The reason for a ban is a bugged interaction between Replicator and Ancient of Yore. If played together, the copied Yore would stay Dormant forever and trigger twice each turn, thus gaining 10 Armor and drawing two cards every turn for the rest of the game. That’s obviously very strong, especially if you combine it with anti-fatigue mechanic like Kil'jaeden.

Technically Replicator-inator worked with other Dormat cards too, but Yore combo was the most obvious and easiest to pull off.

The bug was discovered last week, and the deck abusing it has been getting more and more popular over the weekend. It still hasn’t reached widespread use, but it’s good that

The card will be unbanned once the interaction gets fixed. Although it’s probably not that big of a deal considering that it saw almost no play anyway (yes, it was rarely used in some off-meta builds, so if you happened to play one of those I’m really sorry for your loss).
