Another shop update dropped today! It’s a small update with two new and two returning Hero skins. As always, returning ones are purchasable for Gold. I also want to apologize for making a mistake in my last week’s recap – I didn’t include Diamond cards that are now gone from the shop. They appeared with the “Last Week” warning right away, so I assumed that they’re an older deal that’s already been there for a while. But it turns out that they got the warning the moment they entered the shop, because they only stayed for 1 week… Anyway, here are all of the new items that are available this week:
- The Jailer Bundle (1500 Runestones or $15) – New Tier 1 Death Knight skin + related card back + 5 Death Knight card packs.
- Frost Wyrm Malygos Bundle (1000 Runestones or $10) – New Tier 2 Mage skin + 5 Mage card packs.
- Mecha-Jaraxxus Hero Set (1500 Gold or $10) – Returning Tier 1 Warlock skin + related card back. Originally available from The Boomsday Project Pre-Purchase Bundle.
- Vendor Maiev (1000 Gold or $7) – Returning Tier 2 Rogue skin. Originally available from a shop bundle in June 2022.
Tier 1 skins are “premium” ones while Tier 2 are more basic. In general, Tier 1 skins tend to include more extra features like completely new emotes, Hero Power animations, unique Hero tray, or some extra visual effects. Some of those might also be included in Tier 2 skins, but usually only 1 of those special features is present (if any). It’s not an official classification – it’s just something we use to differentiate between more basic and premium skins! Blizzard has added their own “rarities” for Battlegrounds skins, but they haven’t done it so far for Constructed (other than Diamond & Legendary Heroes).
New items usually stay in the shop for around 1-2 weeks – sometimes it’s longer (3 or more weeks) but I wouldn’t universally count on that, so if you’re interested in one of them, get them soon.
