nother shop update dropped today! It’s a pretty small update (well, small if you don’t care about DFT). We have a new DFT, this time with Varian Mythic Hero Skin (Hunter/Warrior) and Hogger Pet. Yes, we have two “main” rewards, but the price is there to match the content. Getting all the items will cost you a whooping $200 in total.
Other than DFT, we have returning Signature cards, Starship bundles to be more precise. This is honestly a terrible deal and I don’t recommend getting them. The reason is that they rotate out of Standard in just a month, and Starships haven’t been viable in Wild. It also feels like more of an one-off mechanic that won’t get any support in the future so they will likely remain unplayable. So realistically the only hope to see them is in Arena. The only redeeming quality is that they are significantly cheaper than they originally were – especially the Neutral bundle which was originally priced at an insane $35 (and now it’s at $10).
I also want to give credit to Blizzard for now showcasing the DFT odds and prices in-game. The odds are also updated live as you do more pulls, so you can know exactly how likely you are to get each reward each time. Previously you had to go to an external website to find those and do all the math yourself for each pull
Anyway, here are all of the new items that are available this week:
- Darkmoon Faire Treasures – Varian & Hogger (all rolls cost 20,000 Runestones or $200) – Each roll gives you a random prize, from Golden Card Pack, all the way to (in this case) Mythic Varian skin (Hunter/Warrior) or Hogger Pet. First roll is free, then the cost increases each time. Rewards are weighted – for example, on your first roll you have about 30% chance to get a Golden card pack, 2.5% chance to get Signature Legendary, and only 0.1% chance to get the pet. - The Scavenger’s Will Bundle (3500 Runestones or $35) – Returning Signature card bundle with The Gravitational Displacer, 2x Starship Schematic and 2x Scrounging Shipwright. Originally available in November 2024 for $60 (with 5 extra card packs).
- The Celestial Archive Bundle (3500 Runestones or $35) – Returning Signature card bundle with Exarch Othaar, 2x Starlight Reactor and 2x Sha'tari Cloakfield. Originally available in November 2024 for $60 (with 5 extra card packs).
- The Astral Compass Bundle (2000 Runestones or $20) – Returning Signature card bundle with 2x Specimen Claw and 2x Biopod. Originally available in November 2024 for $35 (with 5 extra card packs).
- The Scavenger’s Will Bundle (1000 Runestones or $10) – Returning Signature card bundle with 2x Arkonite Defense Crystal and 2x Dimensional Core. Originally available in November 2024 for $35 (but with 5 extra packs).
New items usually stay in the shop for 2-3 weeks, but it’s not always consistent. Sometimes they rotate out after just a single week, other times they stay for over a month. So if you’re interested in one of them, you probably shouldn’t wait too long.
