Setting Things Right with Ranked Rewards and Mister Clocksworth

Blizzard just posted an update regarding the recent mistakes with card packs and Signature version of Mister Clocksworth.

When it comes to packs, for the last few expansions we always got the new set card packs from the last ranked season before launch. But this time, last ranked season rewarded Lost City of Un’Goro and not Across the Timeways packs. Blizzard admitted that this was a mistake and they will be giving players the correct packs next week. You will keep the Un’Goro packs you opened from ranked chest and get new packs as a bonus.

The second issue was regarding the Signature version of Mister Clocksworth. The card is now locked behind a few in-game shop bundles, but before launch you could open it in card packs (which was a bug). Then after fixing the issue, Blizzard took away the Sig version of Clocksworth from player accounts and rerolled it into another random Signature. Some players were upset because they liked it and they didn’t want it taken away from them. Blizzard admitted that they shouldn’t alter people collection over a bug like that and will now restore the card to affected accounts. They will also keep their rerolled Signature and get 5 extra Golden packs.

I have been very negative about the recent state of the game but this an example of great communication and reponse to feedback. So I have to give them credit where credit is due. Let’s keep it that way!

Ranked Reward Packs

At the end of the last Ranked season, those who opened their rewards got Lost City of Un’Goro packs instead of the intended Across the Timeways packs.

Here’s how we’re making it right:

• Next week, we’ll be sending you the proper Across the Timeways packs you should have received.
• You’ll keep the Lost City of Un’Goro packs you already opened.

Signature Mister Clocksworth

A bug caused the Signature Mister Clocksworth card to appear in Across the Timeways packs, and we removed it from collections. That was a mistake. Each collection is personal and represents your history of play and love for the game. While there may be extreme circumstances that call for altering a collection, this wasn’t one of them. We know how much your collection means to you, and we apologize for the frustration this caused.

Here’s how we’re making it right:

• As of this post, we’ve restored the Signature Mister Clocksworth card to everyone affected.
• You’ll keep the random Signature card you already received.
• We’re also sending you 5 Golden Across the Timeways packs.
