Returns & Exchanges Tavern Brawl

This week’s Tavern Brawl is Returns & Exchanges! Choose a class and build a deck with 20 minions. The deck will have 10 random spells added to it. At the start of the game, you draw a hand from the original deck you created. Once you decide on your mulligan and draw the cards from it, the decks will be then swapped. You are then given the Gift Receipt card that allows you to decide to swap the deck to your opponent, but it costs 5-mana. Each player starts with 20 Health instead of the normal 30.

Gift Receipt (5-Mana): Refresh your Mana Crystals. Swap decks with your opponent and destroy their Gift Receipt.

If you have the coin, you will be the first to decide if you want to swap the decks back and it won’t allow your opponent to do the same. So, if you make too bad of a deck you might end up with it yourself!

Returns & Exchanges Tavern Brawl Deck Lists

The deck building challenge of this is quite interesting. If you build too bad of a deck, then you are going to get a poor starting hand and your opponent could end up giving you the deck back. If you build too good of a deck, then your opponent might get off to a really good start and just win. This is particularly problematic with the lower health you start with. Try to go mid-way with the deck and build it to potentially utilize your hero power so hopefully your opponent can’t take advantage of it and you can. Discard Warlock is a really good option for this sort of thing! Leave us your suggestions for potentially effective lists in the comments.
