If you’re playing on desktop and you’ve seen a patch rolling out – no reason to worry, it hasn’t actually changed anything and you didn’t miss it. It was pushed out to fix some performance issues (mainly for Battlegrounds), and the same patch should be out on mobile tomorrow.
Balance update is still coming this week, and we should learn more about it very soon.

We’re currently putting out an update with various performance improvements for Hearthstone (especially for Battlegrounds). This update is live on desktop today, with the mobile update rolling out tomorrow.

If they are smart they not only think about nerfing but also about upgrading some classes..
Hmm; that’s…unexpected. I was madly refreshing hearthstone websites today, anticipating an announcement for today with rollout tomorrow. I’m a little perplexed at how they’re going to handle this now. Announce mid-week with a rollout on Christmas Eve? That sounds like a huge risk if anything goes wrong and everyone’s on holiday. I’m guessing they’ll rollout on a non-Tuesday before Christmas–maybe this Friday or next Monday? I can’t see them possibly waiting until after Christmas; 9 more days like this would be a death knell for this expansion, and it’s otherwise such a lovely expansion.
In the initial announcement, they’ve said that the update is coming next (so this) week, not that they’re going to announce it then. So if their wording was indeed correct, we should expect a patch by Friday. At least I very much hope so.
