Update: Known Issues post has received a few updates over the last couple of weeks, with a big one for Arena players last night – Energy Shaper, Story of Umbra and Grand Magister Rommath have been banned from the format. While it’s far from enough to balance Arena, they were standout cards, clearly more powerful than the rest, so getting rid of them. And it’s a good sign that something is finally happening to the format, as it hasn’t been getting almost any adjustments since revamp. A few cards also got unbanned, but not for the balance reasons – they have been bugged previously and got fixed in a recent patch.
Patch 33.4 was released earlier today, and like most of patches it introduced a bunch of bugs/new issues.
The biggest one discovered so far was Lie in Wait (Rogue Quest) causing some stability issues. They had to disable Ranked mode for a bit to figure it out, but now they temporarily banned the Quest until its fixed. Sadly it seems that some people also have issues with stability in Battlegrounds and a few cards were also banned in that mode.

Highlights & Info
[Battlegrounds] Battlegrounds Hero Rerolls have been temporarily disabled due to a bug.
- [Shop] A recent Return to Wild bundle first went on sale with an incorrect description. We’re working to grant players who made a purchase before this was corrected a random Wild Legendary card.
- [Hearthstone] We’ve temporarily removed the VFX from Brawl and Badlands Brawler to prevent an issue causing crashes. We’ll reenable it when the underlying issue is fixed in an upcoming patch.
- [Shop] Disruptor’s Delight Signature Bundle: we’re working on a fix for players that purchased this bundle before September 3rd. Update: Affected players have been granted the missing cards. Second update: For real this time!
- [Bans] These will be added to the drop-down menu below (the list is also mirrored here). If your Arena deck contains a banned card, you will need to retire it manually (your ticket should be refunded).

The following cards have been banned in 33.4.2
- Quests: Cry for Help
- Minions: Stray Satyr, Carbonic Copy, Scourge Harvester, Canopy Swinger, Sharp-Eyed Sabretooth, Merciless Mammoth, Gem Smuggler
And as a reminder, these cards also remain in Battlegrounds jail for now: Trinket: Colorful Compass Rewards: Cosmic Reward, Anima Bribe, Splitting Scroll, Grim Freshener, Tumbling Disaster, Enhance-a-Matic, Righteous Charge.
Arena Bans
Based on Design meta assessment and player feedback we have decided to ban these three cards for gameplay/balance reasons until we can remove them from the draft pool in the next balance patch (33.6.2).

While we are updating the BAN list, we will also be UNBANNING a couple of cards that have been fixed in 33.4.2 that we missed unbanning right after the patch went out.

Tracked Issues
- [Tech] We’re aware of reports of screen flickering and performance issues on Google Pixel 6 devices and are investigating.
- [Hearthstone] Mirage granted from Spirit of the Badlands can permanently turn into a minion card if not played.
- [Hearthstone] We’re investigating reports of Elise the Navigator causing Disconnect with Dark Gift.
- [Battlegrounds] Mounting Avalanche sometimes does not allow a target to be selected for the stat transfer.
Resolved Issues
- [Shop] Disruptor’s Delight Signature Bundle: the related signature cards disappear after closing the game.
[Update] The issue was fixed, bundle re-activated, and missing cards have been granted to affected players.
- Players only draw one card after playing Torga.
- [Collection] Some players didn’t receive the Diamond Fyrakk, the Blazing from Golden Into the Emerald Dream Mini-Set.
- We are currently delivering the correct August card back (Gardens of the Lost city) to eligible players. Please note that you might see a notification with the wrong card back – this is just a visual bug.
- [Battlegrounds] “Rapid Reanimation” (Teron Gorefiend’s Hero Power) summons minion in the incorrect place.
- [Battlegrounds] We’ve received reports that it is not possible inviting friends to Duos, adding them, or spectating them.
- [Hearthstone] All You Can Eat is off its diet, sometimes eating minions of the same minion type.
- [Hearthstone] Handbuffed Dormant minions fail to progress The Food Chain Quest.
- [Battlegrounds] Tripling Lantern Lava won’t reset its effect.
- [Battlegrounds] Gilnean War Horn and Ghastly Mask can offer incorrect cards.
