Blizzard just posted a teaser for the next expansion. This time we don’t really have to speculate about its theme, since we already know it – both from the 2025 roadmap (where the set’s working title was “Heroes of Time”) and from the Year of the Raptor cinematic trailer, where we clearly see Chromie fighting against the Infinite Dragonflight.
The teaser itself doesn’t actually reveal anything new about the expansion – all we can see is a hourglass with sand, suggesting that the expansion will be related to time (but we already knew that it’s going to feature time travel). What we did learn, however, is when the set is going to be revealed – in 48 hours, so on Monday (September 29).
As usual, the expansion reveal should include overview of the theme and new mechanics, multiple card reveals, and pre-order info. Patch 33.6 should also go out at the same time as the announcement, and while we don’t have any patch notes yet, X.6 updates usually contain a big Battlegrounds mid-season refresh. Sometimes they do have Constructed changes, but not very often.
