While Blizzard did not announce when they will release the new portraits, it seems that they’re already in the game as a part of this patch. You unlock them just like your Golden portraits – by hitting X wins with a given class. It was 500 for the Golden Portraits, and it’s 1000 for this new batch. Keep in mind that only ranked and Arena wins count for the portraits – any Casual, Brawl or PvE wins do not.
Here’s how all of the new portraits look like:

These are awful portraits (hideous comes to mind). Do these portraits automatically replace our regular heroes once we’ve won 1000 or are they selectable?
Only one that doesn’t look damned amazing is the rogue one, the hell you on about?
You really don’t like the rogue? Granted, the still pic doesn’t really do it justice, but the swords glow and the animation for them is really slick.
I’m usually the last person to care about aesthetics–never pay money for new portraits, DE all my goldens, etc, but I saw that for the first time in game last night and though “geez, maybe I SHOULD play more rogue on ladder…”

They’re selectable, like any other portrait in HS.
But really it’s different strokes for different folks. I like most of them to be honest. But the opinions are really diverse. Some love them, others hate them. The only thing that people generally agree on is that Rexxar looks bad, lol.

They did not change – you still have regular Hero Powers. They’re Golden though (so you don’t lose the feature of 500 wins portraits).
I was hyped for these new portraits but I was let down as the voices and emotes are all old.
Yeah same here, but when you think about it it’s kind of logic , still the same character some makes sense
but what corrupted garrosh say could might be different though (:
To be honest i also hoped that they would have new voice lines 🙁 But it’s still better than nothing. Maybe it’s a start to adding more cosmetics, something people have been asking for years now?

Hunter looks … horrible; which is a fitting punishment for winning so many games as Hunter.
Yeah, to be honest I like most of them more than the regular ones (maybe partially because I got bored of the regular ones already :p), but Hunter looks really bad IMO…
