Update #2: Top 8 part of the Playoffs is now live! You can check out all of the matches on the official PlayHearthstone Twitch channel.
Update: Blizzard just shared who will be casting the event! We have the classic Lorinda, Sottle, Edelweiss and Raven quartet. The only surprise is 2023 Hearthstone World Champion – PocketTrain. He already dabbled in casting before, and it’s always fun to see one of the top players giving his thoughts on matches.
Masters Tour: Summer Championship will happen soon (most likely in just a few weeks). But before that, players get the last opportunity to qualify through the Summer Playoffs tournament happening this weekend.
A total of 6 players (2 per region) will move on to Masters Tour: Summer Championship, and get a chance to qualify to World Championship later this year.
The tournament will start with Swiss Stage on Saturday. While there will be no official stream, many players will stream gameplay from their point of view (with a proper delay, of course).
However, due to popular demand, the Sunday section of the tournament (Playoffs proper) will be streamed (and casted) on the official PlayHearthstone Twitch channel. The streamed section of the tournament starts at 12 AM PT (9 AM CET, 4 PM KST) with Asia-Pacific region, then continues with Europe, and finally Americas. We don’t know how long all of those will take, but it’s safe to assume that there will be A LOT of matches showcased.
Sadly we don’t have any more details for now (like who’s casting and whether we’ll get drops), but if we learn more before the tournament beings, I’ll update this post.
