Hearthstone Patch 34.0 Known Issues

Patch 34.0 was released earlier this week, and (sadly) just like most patches, it introduced a bunch of bugs/issues. As usual, Blizzard is keeping track of the currenty reported ones.

Some players are experiencing issues with Pre-Release Tavern Brawl, getting stuck on the rewards chest. Blizzard is exploring potential solutions, if you have the problem you can help by sending your game logs.

We also have a lot of card bans in Pre-Release Brawl. All Un’Goro Quests are now banned, alongside Elise the Navigator and Alternate Reality (the last one is banned due to a bug – it should be added back again when the bug is resolved). We also have some Arena bans (Dreamplanner Zephrys, Hidden Objects) and Battlegrounds bans/unbans (Tamsin Roame/Sire Denathrius).

There are also smaller issues like the Golden Portraits for 500 wins not working. I’ll keep this post updated when more are added/resolved.

Patch 34.0 is upon us, which means this will be our new Highlights and Known Issues threads for this cycle.

• [Battlegrounds] Tamsin Roame is now banned.
• [Battlegrounds] Sire Denathrius is unbanned!
• [Arena] Dreamplanner Zephrys is now banned in Arena. Note: players with a banned card in their deck can retire their run; its cost will be refunded.
• [Pre-Release Tavern Brawl Update] An important update to the Pre-Release Tavern Brawl (& Card Bans).
• [Mobile] Pre-Release Tavern Brawl chest cannot be open/stuck on Reward screen. Please follow this thread. If you’re seeing the issue both on Mobile and Desktop client, please add your Game Logs to your reply.
• [Twitch Drops] Community Days are starting today, October 28th. Twitch Drops will be enabled. More information here.
• [Update October 28 – Ladder Ready Decks] If you still can’t dismiss the pop-up or can’t find your free deck, please let us know here.
• [Bans] These will be added to the drop-down menu below (the list is also mirrored here). If your Arena deck contains a banned card, you will need to retire it manually (your ticket should be refunded).

Tracked Issues

• [Hearthstone] Golden hero powers and portraits from 500 wins are not currently available.
• [Mount] Sarge’s Tale is not being awarded.
• [Deck Builder] Fabled minions’ companion cards are not added to the deck.
• [Hearthstone] Playing Deadline does not progress Warlock Quest – Escape the Underfel
• [Mobile] The Journal cannot be opened on first login after updating. Restarting the game should fix this.
• [Battlegrounds] Lord Barov can explode unexpectedly when using his hero power in specific circumstances.
• [Tech] We’re aware of reports of screen flickering and performance issues on Google Pixel 6 devices and are investigating.

34.0 Resolved Issues

• [Hearthstone] Alternate Reality only provides the discount, but does not replace your hand. Update: This card has now been banned. See list above for all current bans
• [Brawl] Players can still face Dive the Golakka Depths in Brawl.
• [Arena] Hidden Objects cannot be used in Arena. The card is now banned there.
• [Packs] Catch Up packs cannot be open.
• [Hearthstone] Players are not receiving their 2nd Golden Stormbrewer from The Lost City of Un’Goro Free Track (lvl 75) and their 2nd Golden Ravenous Devilsaur from The Lost City of Un’Goro Tavern Pass (lvl 25) – we’re investigating.
• [Battlegrounds] Friendly Bouncer does not summon a minion if hand is full.
• [Hearthstone] When Rewind is played simultaneously across multiple clients, players after the first to cast Rewind may experience delays.
• [Hearthstone] During the Rewind effect, there are some unintended sound/video effects and board interactions possible.
• [Solo] Book of Heroes – Faelin’s Challenge cannot be progressed past puzzle 3 (Challenge 15)
• There is no “disconnected” pop up when disconnecting from the internet.
• [Hearthstone] Mirage granted from Spirit of the Badlands can permanently turn into a minion card if not played.
